I never understand why players come out and say no deal is done. Like unless you are signing elsewhere why do you need to clear it up?

because if they were then (and i'm hoping for once the media get something right), then that could mean that he has agreed to terms and is now waiting for the official contract, which hasn't been signed yet

His inbox is probably getting flooded by fans and whether it's true or not I don't think he's going to confirm it on Instagram.
I remember Capewell making posts denying he'd signed here and I'm pretty sure Mam denied resigning.
The fact that there's noise of it happening says to me it's in the process of being done unless someone's made up total bullshit like the Herbie resigning.
