Mate there is no chance any of the banned players play Origin this year.

They brought it up on NRL 360 a couple of weeks ago, Kev was very sheepish when talking about it, I wouldn't be shocked if he picked Napa & Hunt or something, but he probably won't.

I hope they don't. Kev made the call, and I hope he sticks with it, even if it costs us the series.

Should that happen, the banned players will have that on their consciences. That would certainly give some weight to the consequences of their actions.

Long term success and preservation of culture is more important than victory over the short term.

Just remember that McGuire played origin last year before he got injured
I would be very shocked if he doesn't get picked

I'm 80% sure he'll play for Australia in May. No way he misses Origin.

Will be very surprised if McGuire does not play SOO and agree offa is a smokey depending on injuries.

I would love to see what the younger forwards have and Ese'ese I believe could be sooner than SOO. Not sure about him on the edges as opposed to the middle though. TPJ and Su'a are smokies as they are young but would love to see how they go in nrl squad especially when the 20s are struggling a bit. TPJ needs better fitness but i feel they are more exciting players than some of the other options - so would be interested in them being thrown into the deep water. I dare say safer options may be the direction taken though

Hunts banned, McGuire is at least on par with parker and blair leading our pack and was rolling in games 1 & 2 before he got injured, why on earth wouldnt he get picked, who's outplaying him?

i did say the picture didnt look all that rosey overall lol but thats probly just hypothetical worse case scenario and also in the near future. its quite possible the gravvy boat is close to sailing for Macca and maybe even Hunt the way he's going and at his age, and with sammy and cp13 getting close to the end you'd doubt wayne would bring in more than 1 new name and that bloke would be an origin walk-in, plus realistically theres some god damn fine talent im freakin excited to see run around the park

id go with something like the above from Art, although id be suprised to not see Roberts picked next year if not this (Seve or Opacic), and if Maranta was fit Wayne would surely lock him in as 1 or possibly covering Kahu moving back and either or Seve or Anderson covering while Lachlans out, nxt yr KNik would cover Milf or possibly for kahu moving to 6, but he'd surely stay put this year, and love to see any of ese fai or molo (tho the latters dont sound to be travelling all that dandily of late?) but i think we're pretty safe from daley picking wallace.. haha
