So...Korbin Sims has been selected by U/20 QLD while Tariq has been selected for City/Country. However, apparently U/20 selection does not determine future origin selection. What a joke!

under the old origin selection criteria Korbin qualifies for QLD because the Broncos got him up here with his brothers when he was 15, i expect him to qualify for NSW under the new rules

My issue isn't giving the players a rest. It's making them participate in such a pointless fixture to begin with.

I agree with this as well. I don't think anyone would miss playing the one-off test. I'd be happy to see all International League played after the GF.

Also, the quality of the ANZAC test I find is always extremely poor. Whilst I don't care for Internationals in general, at least when it is after the GF teams can go into camp and actually have a chance of producing a decent showing, like the Kiwis have in 4N and WC in the past. However, I cannot for the life of me remember the last time New Zealand were competitive in an ANZAC test. Only once since 2000 have they lost by less than 10 points, and even then, they still trailed by 12 with 15mins to go and scored a late consolation try to get the margin down to 4.
