Representative Weekend

Moa reminds me of Matt Utai. Legs wider than they are long, so low to the ground. Hard to get low enough to get under him to drive him back.

They're giving NZ every liberty to even out the contest. Inglis was on the ground, therefore held, before Whare pushed him out. Penalty any day these days.

Kind of makes you think it's not a stretch for them to be doing in in the NRL to artificially make games closer. Like some of us suspect.

Proctor is the McGuire of the Kiwi side. Gives away dumb penalties.

Thought it was fine. A damn good tackle.

Jason Nightingale is down.

Stretcher is brought out. It looks serious..

Johnson doing everything he can to minimize the impact of Slater. Good work by him.

Entertaining game so far. Great play by the Morris brothers to get us a repeat set.

I think Inglis needs to get more involved. He's our best player - he needs the football. Having a quiet game so far. It doesn't bode well for Australia (or Queensland ftm).

Kiwis are playing with plenty of energy. I wonder how they will go when fatigue starts to set in..

New Zealand have been playing very well, controlling the tempo of the game, making very few mistakes and Shaun Johnson is directing them around superbly.

The Aussie bench use is just bizzare I bet I could rotate the Australian bench and coach the team a lot better than what Sheens is doing.

Seems to be the norm for Inglis in rep games lately.

Fullback is GI's best position and he is now so accustomed to it that when he plays centre he is playing a completely different but familiar position.

Agreed. Their energy and enthusiasm has been excellent. I think Australia's forwards were a bit guilty of not laying a platform and our kicking game hasn't been as good as Johnson's. If we can get a few repeat sets, fatigue will get NZ.

Next try scorer will be interesting.

Inglis doesn't involve himself enough in attack / off the ball to be a great fullback ... yet.

needs to take a leaf or three out of Billy's book

This is why I rate SJ so highly, such a good player and he's basically playing with no real 5/8. Good game to watch.

International rules and one ref... I think I prefer it but if the Moa tackle/drop ball wasn't a penalty then Ben Hunt must be thinking wtf

Australia keep looking for the soft option. Only way out of this is to run hard and tackle hard. Interesting the penalty count was so heavily in Australia's favour.
