NEWS Rival's $1.5 million raid on boom Bronco

we surely have the extra Taylor money aswell surely

We'll definitely be losing one at least one of the gun young forwards IMO. You always do when you have so many off contract.

Su'A and David Fifita are future back row. Hass, Thomas flegler, Patrick carrigan are future prop.

I don’t think Carrigan will end up a front rower. His role at Wynnum has been building up his minutes and using his skill like his offload. He may play middle third but like Arrow he shouldn’t be doing a front rower’s role.

I know he play in the middle but problem is broncos got three player who want to play lock jack bird, TPJ and McGuire. So what position he going to play? Is it possible to re-sign Su'A?

TPJ can always play prop, he'll be killing it in either position. McGuire is a prop too. Bird...who knows what's going to happen with him.

Souths took te'o now they'll take su'a. They seem to like the power players. We let them walk.

Bird dos'nt hit like sua ! We need a enforcer like teo or tunza .

Maybe, but then he can add some ball playing to the position hopefully. I'd prefer Su'a, especially with the way he's come on, but I'm just talking about if he leaves.

I'm up in the air on this one.

Until 2 or 3 games ago, i honestly didn't see why we are persisting with Sua, why we have a huge wrap on him etc. From what I saw, his decision making in defense wasn't good, he was making a few errors, giving away penalties and I just thought he wasn't up to nrl standard.

But, since Gillett has been injured, I've seen a different side to Sua. The kid hits HARD, and we need a rock solid enforcer like Teo and Tunza. Defense has improved, fitter playing longer minutes, he's cut the penalties down and he hits the ball up hard and makes good post contact metres, he brings good energy and a spirit i like. Young and hungry.

I want us to keep him.

That dos'nt mean we should let him walk ! Give him Glenn's spot and move him on when he is done . Sua is going to be better than glenn and we need to keep him . Sua and Gillett should be our second rowers.
Do you know how the salary cap works? If the club wants to get rid of anyone who in contracted, thy have to pay the difference in any contract another club offers the player and it's counted in the salary cap. So if Glenn is on 600k a year but another club is only willing to offer him 300k, the Broncos have to pay him 300k to play for another club.

Bit early to say he'll be better than Glenn. Glenn has been a fantastic player for the team for a good 10 years now. If he can be AS good, he'll be very happy with his career. Easy to look good for one season, very hard to maintain it year after year.

I feel like Glenn's value to the team is often disregarded. Value for money, I don't think we have a more worthy player in the team.

On the bright side, if they’re going after Sua maybe that means Oates isn’t going after all

Yeah i do but he is only contracted till next year, so you pay sua what we have next year and then increase it the following years. Not rocket science!!

Glenn has gad a few lean years , but he has definitely been solid for us. Sua only has to be solid and consistent and will be level above glenn. I have nothing but respect for glenn but like every other job , when someone who can to your job and add something else then you get replaced.
