I hope he hangs around in a defensive capacity or something, he could hit in his prime! He has become so underrated in Souths premiership win over the last few years, he was arguably the best player on the field in their GF.

Robati is going to be a big part of the team next year. He's a middle, he'll pick up the slack when Hass goes off, has X Factor, great defence and can play big minutes.

Last two games he played 60 mins in the middle and second row.

We've had big dips when Haas goes off, Robati will fill the hole I think. He'll be massive after a good preseason.

Cobbo too, so impressed toweled up Best multiple times in the Knights game. Another one who needs a preseason with the team.

Given his ability to play second row and middle, I think robati will hold on to that 17 jumper. This way he can slip into the middle forward rotation and/or be a relief second rower should one be needed for fatigue/injury.

I thought I would put my top 17 in with our current roster. This is what I think will be best and possible line up.
1. Niu
2. Farnworth
3. Cobbo

Just caught the back end of an interview Ikin did on ABC sport (radio).

Basically he said we want to sign one more experienced leader in the next few weeks, to help mentor our young squad.

Also said we would leave a couple of top 30 spots open so that if one if the players our affiliates send to us for the pre-season impresses we are able to offer them a top 30 spot.

Finally he echoed Morris's comments about a second Brisbane team entering the comp. Talked up both the Dolphins and Firehawks, but didn't mention the Jets

To be fair he wasn't spectacular despite getting 60 mins a game. Missed 7 tackles with some poor reads. He's only young so understandable and you could well be right about next year. Don't necessarily agree about dips after Haas leaves, we were terrible pretty damn often while he was there.

Last game he was only there 20 mins and we went well without him. I think it'd be fair to say just about any team might perceive their go forward would drop off if they had Haas in their team and he'd just been replaced but in reality our go forward was pretty competitive all year.

I'd love to hear this. Everything Ikin says I want to take in. He's a very intelligent fellow

Not sure how closely you guys watched last nights game, but Kurt Capewell’s kick chase had me all hot and bothered.

He is always the first one on the kick chase ready to make a tackle. Will be enormous for us.
Yeah..any wonder he and Reynolds have been chatting

I’m very keen to see what those 2 can do with their footy smarts and leadership. Great pairing.

The teams total IQ will finally crack 3 digits

Imagine if we somehow could get Welch in as well.

Cleary's long kicks and their kick chase (often led by capewell) kept penrith in that game (some dubious ref calls didnt hurt either). I am hoping we can do similar next year with reynolds kicking game and be satisfied in grinding wins.

Capewell doing his best Alex Glenn impressions lately.

Yeah I check his numbers every week and they're pretty shit but I'm hoping he can be a leader on the field and lead with his defence, kick chase and the 1%ers. We don't need a metre eater, we have those players.

So who do you want to see at 1 in 22 Cobbo or Tesi?

I want to see Cobbo there when he’s ready but he is far from the total package at fullback yet and that try doesn’t really prove anything except he’s very quick. I’d like to see him train as a fullback over the offseason and have some games there in Q Cup or playing centre in first grade for now.

His defence in the big moments was epic last night, just like his try, he just seemed to put himself in the right position at the right time.

If he keeps doing that, I don’t care what his stats are.
