I want to see Cobbo there when he’s ready but he is far from the total package at fullback yet and that try doesn’t really prove anything except he’s very quick. I’d like to see him train as a fullback over the offseason and have some games there in Q Cup or playing centre in first grade for now.
The try was great, but he had a bit of a mixed game again.

He ran hard, but was a bit passive and uncertain at times which led to an oppositions try. He looks better when he attacks the ball, and makes a decision and just goes with it (as shown with his try).

I did notice he runs the fullback sweep structure well. Whilst tesi moves a bit lateral (reducing room for his centre and wing), cobbo is more direct and straightens the attack.

Yeah he seems to have that same lack of urgency in defence at fullback that also plagues Isaako and Niu. We need a specialist coach like Slater.

Capewell doing his best Alex Glenn impressions lately.

Capewell's best assest is skipping across the field from right to left. He's got unbelievable footwork and footy smarts. I don't think the Sharks or Penrith have used it as well as they could have.

He's a great kicker (Kick offs) too.

I think Capewell could be used like Murray at lock, he'd be great given an opportunity to skip around.

The try that came straight to mind was 3:00.

How good was that number 9! If only we had him and hadn't favoured Macca instead.

I think Ezra Mam is ready for that 6 jersey next year. Him and Cobbo are going to be lethal next year. Reynolds is the perfect partner for Ezra

No rush but I tend to agree. Would like to see him give a shot later in the season if form permits. A big 2023 with Reynolds and Mam would be nice

I reckon he will/should come into pre-season training with the top squad (not sure if he is in the development squad) and could look at a potential mid to late 2022 debut.

By this time he will have about 20 odd ISC games under his belt, have had the opportunity to mix with and run some shapes with the first grade squad and spend some time with kevie and reynolds talking specialist halves work.

Although there are definitely areas for improvement which I have highlighted before, he just has a knack for putting himself in the right spot to find/get the ball (much like lockyer did).

So.. isn't our roster full now ba one spot?

If ikin has a vision to hold a few spots open for train and trial players, who is yet to get cut loose?

Issac Luke calls it a day.

Was never rated by anyone on this forum, but I thought he put in a decent show against the backdrop of a looming wooden spoon and general team apathy. He was far from one of our worst.

Few will remember him as a Bronco:

Rabbitohs (2007-2015) – 188 NRL games
Warriors (2016-2019) – 83 NRL games
Dragons (2020) – 3 NRL games
Broncos (2020) – 12 NRL games
NRL record: 286 games, 50 tries, 205 goals.

Kiwis debut: v Australia, 2008
Kiwis record: 43 tests, 5 tries, 22 goals
2008 World Cup victory
2010 and 2014 Four Nations triumphs
Kiwis Captain, 2015 and 2018

Luke was one of my favourite non-broncos back when he was at south’s. Was pretty well past it by the time he came to us but he was the close to the second best hooker in the game for a brief period.

After Robbie Farah if memory serves me.

So the signing of Ryan James likely completes our roster for 2022 (unless a train and trial player impresses or a player suddenly becomes available) ... so i think that calls for a team list. this is the team that I would start for round 1, 2022

1. Farnworth
2. Oates
3. Cobbo
4. Stagg
5. Lee
6. Gamble
7. Reynolds (c)
8. Carrigan
9. Paix
10. Haas
11. Capewell
12. Riki
13. Hethrington

14. Turpin
15. James
16. Robati
17. Flegler - the reason i don't have him starting is i think he offers more impact from the bench than Carrigan, he would be able to keep the momentum going once our starters go off.
