Round 1 Discussion

I had no idea Morgan was a fullback.

He isn't really.

Cows are just experimenting with the idea after he played well there against the Titans at Toowoomba.

Kind of like how the Broncos went with Norman after the final trial against the Raiders.

Thanks for the help today folks.

No Cronk for Storm, I thought he was supposed to be ready by Round 1.

Interesting/surprising/curious picks so far:

Dylan Walker at 5/8 for souffs...

No Cody Walker for Storm despite Cronk being out, Ben Roberts instead...

Dunamis Lui on the bench for Manly...

Dane Nielsen and Carlos Tuimavave ahead of Hurrell...

Kevin Kingston still starting ahead of Segeyaro...

Kidley playing hooker with Michael Dobson taking the 5/8 role at the Knights...

Michael Morgan at fullback for the Cows...

Luke Kelly ahead of Sandow at Parra... LOL

That Eels side looks stunningly short of experience, and when it's there, it's often in the form of a steaming pile of turd (Ben Smith).

Eels actually have a hooker that looks like he kinda belongs in FG, unlike last year where their hookers didn't look like they belonged in an U7s comp. Tipping them to look a little better just because of that.

LOL

Lui on the bench for Manly isn't a massive shock, they didn't buy him to play reserve grade. Hurrell is fat, he came to training camp 10kg or more overweight, he's expected be picked within the next few weeks though, once he regains some fitness. Kingston is a co-captain of Panthers, he's not going to come off the bench. Morgan at fullback isn't a bad option for the Cowboys, a bit of a shock though, was expecting Santo to get first crack.

Segeyaro is better than Kingston, but he's also a far better impact player. If Panthers are smart, they'll have them on the field at the same time at some stages of the game.

I even think Segeyaro is better than Kingston. He brings more to the team and is a very good attacking and impact player while Kingston is a one-dimensional defensive player.
