Cowboys - Any squad with JT in it is worth considering but they lack a winning culture and have too many question marks surrounding key positions. Is Morgan really up to fullback? Can Lui find some consistensy in the halves and can they finally find a hooker that compliments the team? All of that remains to be seen and I don't know if Green can solve all of those situations in one season. I have them finishing around 7th this season, I believe they'll make the finals a little more comfortably this season if they are to succeed but won't be anything more than finals fodder.
Raiders - Can one of Canberra's favourites sons, Ricky Stuart, break them out of their constant cycle of building? That's the big question and I'm going to say....no, no he can't. Canberra still lack leadership in key positions and I think when the going gets rough, they'll go missing, as always. Their big victories are going to have to come off the field and it'll be interesting to see how active they'll be in the open market. Word is they're about to sign Glenn Stewart and that's a decent start but they'll need a couple of other big names if they really want to challenge for a title in the short term.
Dragons - An interesting team because they signed up a host of players (Dugan, Widdop, Williams) who Brisbane fans fancied yet are under all sorts of pressure after a poor trial showing against the Rabbits. I think they're too skinny upfront and their playmakers aren't good enough to make up for that apparant weakness. I expect a fairly topsy turvy season and suspect Price will be one of the first coach's gone.
Tigers - Another team that I believe will struggle. Are relying heavily on washed up ESL players and rookies who are going to struggle for consistensy week in week out. They'll produce the odd highlights that will get the odd pundit to exclaim that such and such is an awesome back, we should sign him but in the end, they won't be all that relevant.
Eels - Slowly rebuilding after a shocking couple of seasons and pending on injuries may improve but I still think they're a few class players short of anything too noteworthy.
Warriors - I've warmed up to them considerably over the past couple of weeks, still think they'll have their erratic moments this season and may even start slowly but the competition is designed in a way that flatters them and I believe the signing of Tomkins + Townsend will pay off and they'll feature at about 6th on the ladder.
Sharks - On paper, good side but you just have to wonder how much of an impact ASADA may have on the joint. Will be competing for a spot but wouldn't be surprised if things went awry for them this year.
Titans - Showed positive signs last year and I think this might be Taylor's year but still think they'll remain stagnant in the grand scheme of things. Just not enough quality in key positions and lack a bit of strike power out-wide too.
