Round 1 Lineup

So outs from last season that are basically confirmed are: Boyd, Staggs, Fifita, Haas, Joffa, Milford, etc. I'd argue we are looking at:

1. Isaako
2. Farnworth
3. Arthars
4. Niu
5. Coates
6. Croft
7. Dearden
8. Lodge
9. McCullough (c)
10. Carrigan
11. Glenn
12. Riki
13. Asiata

14. Turpin
15. Flegler
16. TPJ
17. Oates
Im not saying your team is bad but what i believe will happen is Farnworth centres and either Arthars or Mead on the wing, i believe tpj is going to start at lock and milford seems pretty confident he will be back in time so i reckon only out will be Haas

So.. he was still a captain and goal kicker.
I'm just pointing out that when it comes to captains at the Broncos it's generally not the case. Outside the Broncos I agree mate plenty of captains have been quality goalkickers.

Yep. No worries mate. I did know that, that is why I said most not all.

The Titans' Fifita, Tino and Proctor are carrying fresh minor injuries putting them in slight doubt for game one. Remote chance Fifita might even be out for the Broncos matchup in round two. He's been sent for scans on his thumb after complaining about soreness and movement issues. Just to be sure.

Where is this from?

Broncos medical team "Sent for scans just to be safe?! That's ridiculous!"

Clickbait headline, not a lot in it. Interview with Justin Holbrook:

"Fifita suffered what appeared to be a thumb injury during a contract training session on Tuesday and later complained of soreness and movement issues. While the injury appeared to be minor, and Fifita rejoined the session after having his right hand strapped, he is likely to be sent for scans to ensure there is no significant damage."

“I haven’t seen (Fifita since training finished). I saw him pull out for one set then jump back in so it can’t be much. He has worked hard, all the credit has to go to him. He came back (to training) early last year and has been pushing himself to get into a good spot. He has fit in terrific. He is a good guy, he honestly is a good person. He wants us to do well.”

“It’s only mild, he (Proctor) did it about two weeks ago. He is a good chance of playing in the Warriors trial. He will take it easy the next couple of weeks."

Tino is fine. He did it last Friday and it hasn’t kept him out, except the contact. We’re taking it easy with him this week and he should be right next week."

Maybe he is still consulting the Broncos medical team?

TPJ has to start. Most of his best games have been games where he starts and gets a few early carries and a few big hits. I don’t think he’s effective off the bench purely because he can’t prepare himself mentally off the bench it seems.
