I'm not happy starting the year with Copley in the centres. I think we need to sign someone like Will Chambers. Especially seeing as Staggs is out injured for a while.

Copley or Chambers, it isn't a choice between guns here we are talking about. Both of these guys are over the hill but at least Copley is on base wage, the choice is a no-brainer.

I think Chambers would add a lot to our backline actually. He has won premierships and origin series. Was considered the best centre in the game for a couple years there. Copley is nowhere near Chambers.. I don't think Copley ever quite got up the hill to even become "over the hill". Chambers climbed a mountain and should be respected for that. I think he'd really be solid for us. Similar to what Hodges did for us in the centres towards the end of his career possibly. It was so nice to have that experience and confidence in the outside backs. In my opinion Chambers could possibly make it back in the QLD team next year if he comes back to NRL. Copley is no hope of that.

200k, he is old and he has been out of the game for a year but he will want 500k+, Brisbane has far bigger needs than an old, over the hill centre on big money.
