I remember Moga making his debut for the Roosters and the commentary team were talking him up big time. Fascinated by the size of his thighs too, but it was Johns or Fittler I think so no surprises there.

So what was his injury(s)? Knee recon(s)? Is that something that gets better over time (ie, a couple of years) or do the new grafted ligament joins never have the same strength/elasticity/speed as an undamaged one, and the player is permanently nobbled?

3 Acl injuries requiring 3 knee reconstructions, all on the same knee i believe.

Crazy thought but why not consider Thaiday in the lock position. Better ball handling and offload than McGuire who could come off the bench and play major minutes in back or front row.

re coming off the bench, players like starting, regardless of how many minutes they play. They could play 30 starting or 50 off the bench and would still prefer to start, purely for the status.

You're right re the ball handling as Thaiday is a classy ball player but I don't think he has the legs these days to play decent minutes.

He might if he wasn't playing at 115kgs...

If he could lose 10kgs, I think we might find those legs again. But I don't think we need Thaiday there. He is better as an edge runner as Origin has shown time and time again or off the bench as an impact player and to provide experience off the bench.

Pretty sure he was playing big minutes when moved back to second row last year often playing 80

He was a bit lighter last year aswell... I love him on the edges where he plays his best but he looks to me like moving into a bench forward role later in the season when Oates moves into the forwards.

Am I reading this correctly in that James Roberts is wearing 3??

Surely he'll still play on the right yeah..?

Great move imo. We've already seen what Roberts and Milf's combination can do. Damaging as ****.
