Hauff was playing before I was born but from past highlights I've seen I reckon thats who it is, has that long gangliness about him.

Looks a centre long term. Wonder if the plan is for him to get Shibasaki's spot. Next year is probably too early potentially though.

0-32 Melbourne? I knew all along you were a double agent! He came in after a heart-breaking loss to the Warriors in NZ. Hook who was the most conservative coach really had no choice but to pick him, Oates was fantastic in the NYC game.

The Cowboys game was his third match, second start.
 
Wasn’t maranta our winger for most of ‘15 until eve of finals or thereabouts when Oates finally got brought in by Bennett too? I don’t have a great memory at the best of times but maranta played on the wing for a fair bit of ‘15 didn’t he?

Maranta was the top try-scorer and was actually playing solid footy. Oates had already played a fair amount of wing, but was used off the bench as a utility cover up until the eve of the finals.

Oates' debut was in 2013 and that Melbourne game was an infamous night where Maranta bombed five tries. It inspired the greatest art-work in BHQ history.

Maranta had a disappointing 2016 and that was his career at the Broncos.

It didn't stop Hook from bringing him in at the Dragons.

Would be him or Mariner you'd think.
Mariners turned into one of the best wingers in the comp in 12 months and that's what might keep him on the wing.
