So I guess he was pushed out so Fox can have their echo chamber.
Graham was never a mainstay anyway was he? I don't recall him on much other than NRL360. He does his own podcast as well as Triple M so may not have time. He had Hindy on recently.
Exactly, this. I was wondering all game when would the red head ref pickup on this but never the case to be. On the contrary, he’s all for calling out 6 agains on the 4th or 5th tackle against us.

Go suck those racing hounds balls PVL. You single handedly ruined the game. You retard scum.
They were unbelievably quick off the line. They were almost in the face of the player receiving the ball! The camera never pans enough for us to see if they are truly offside. IF they are onside then the only way to combat that rushing defense is to go wide and catch them out.

I’d still rather cop a wrong call from two referees that had to make a call on the fly then copping one off the bunker who has time to break down an analyse a situation and still manage **** it up

This is the thing that is ruining the game right now in addition to the freaking six again and management morons. The bunker is supposed to reduce errors, not make a million more of them.

The game seriously needs to wake the **** up on these phantom hip drop sin bins, ruining a game over shit no one understands is a terrible idea and defending it is lunacy.

Not to mention a far more dangerous spear tackle by Smith that could have been horrid is 'only' a penalty.

I’ll say it, they were offside all night. They are coached to test the ref because history tells them they will get away with it.
Yes that’s why, imo, the game needs the bunker officiating offsides/ ruck infringements because they aren’t physically at the ground with the players and crowd around them. There’s also less of an excuse if they miss players standing blatantly offside because they have access to multiple camera angles. Chuck a wrestling expert into the bunker for the ruck as well while we’re at it.

They already decide games with hip drop calls etc so may as well get them involved in the areas where teams like Melbourne still ‘push the boundaries’ aka cheat.

The bunker should not be allowed to call 6 agains or anything TBH.

They should simply be there to verify a decision the ref has made or...can't make. Other than that....stay the **** out of it you useless *****.

Watching the Farnworth sin-bin, everyone here agrees it was a blatant dive and it's the Storm player that initiates the contact. It was a Feldt-level dive. Both sin bins were a farce, yet the blatant push in Herbie's back was a "contentious" call, and even then we got the least reward (penalty try instead of them being down a player for 10).

That plan might finally see the NSWRL act on diving
As seen with Nelson last night, the NRL clearly act on the side of caution, with player welfare first and foremost in their minds, believing every player is actually injured whenever they claim to be no matter how many remarkable recoveries occur two minutes after a penalty is given, so there’s nothing they could say about 9 players going off Injured in the first two sets…

It’s foolproof… 🤣

Someone should throw a stop watch over the time it takes from held call to 6 again from the first 10-15mins to the rest of the game. Also the time it takes for a player to play the ball v's having a defender in the face of the dummy half - those Melbourne dudes must be faster than Usain Bolt or surely not offside...

I also want to say credit to Bellamy. In his presser he really credited us and said that game was not a good look for league. He also said the binnings were all a bit questionable and the Patty one specifically was wrong.

“it’s not a good look that the way I’ve coached for the last twenty years has continually changed rugby league for the worse but hey because we get away with it mostly we aren’t going to change it and stop being cheating grubs.

Thanks for coming Brisbane, really unlucky … again”

The refereeing was abysmal but it seemed more incompetence than Machiavellian
I completely agree, he just lost control about 30 mins in. There was a lot of niggle and a lot of back and forth between the two teams and I think he couldn’t handle the heat.

His instructions to players were sloppy and confusing. His rulings were inconsistent. He got whistle happy in a bid to try and regain control.

it’s a shame because the first half was actually pretty good. Second half was just a farce.

as I said, it went both ways and Craig Bellamy also made note of this in his presser. He also said that Carrigan’s ‘hip drop’ was bs, so thanks for that Craig. I reckon Pat won’t be missing next week.

it must also be said that Corey Paix’s try should not have been a try… and Coates’s should have… so it wasn’t all one way.

the Coates offside call was also very harsh, but fair.

we definitely got the rough end of the stick, but it wasn’t some overarching plan to make the Broncos lose. It was just a really dud performance by the ref.

Exactly my thoughts.

Easy to say the Pat call was wrong when you win the game off the back of it.

Also his whole game plan was to do exactly what they did, and as usual they got away with it.

Him saying shit like that annoys me even more.

At least he didn't come into the sheds to give us a pep talk.

Paix? The guy that throw the wildest pass ever when we rolling down the field to give possession and winning try to Melbourne? Weird time to push that argument.
They'll bring up the stupid block Walters did and forget about everything else that happened. The "We score all our points when Paix is on the field" club has been quiet recently
