POST GAME Round 11 - Cowboys vs Broncos

Dizzy spells.

Doctor pulled him out.

i wonder if that may have cost him origin spot? i know feldt dropped 2 but he recovered well. and in origin u cant afford to take someone who may need to come off. wonder what kevie is thinkin.

really hope its not to serious though dizzyness and tiredness for no reason can be signs to some serious shit

By having a fully fit bench?

i dont mean this game of course. what about the last 3 games prior they have done this to us everytime? i think some of us are blinded and wont admit the cows simply do have another gear we are yet to reach. but we can improve so much and cowboys are at peak which is a positive

Or he just copped a head knock.

We'll find out soon, I suppose.

Nah Feldt cost any chance of an origin berth with his first half.

Not too displeased. We lost the game but probably had to or three serious opportunities go against us for various reasons. Injuries towards the back end didn't help either.

If/when we play them again, we can destroy them when if we can hold onto the ball for a few longer periods. We went way too long a few times without the pill.

How much money do we need to buy taumalolo? Guys an animal. And an animal is what we need.

Our ravaged bench was clearly the difference tonight. I'd rather not talk about goal kicking. It always seems to get us and I'm sick of it

this is what worries me. so many ppl here saying oh we only lost by 1 we beat them before. but everygame so far we are dominated in last 20 . that is a horrible horrible sign. how do cowboys have so much more energy then we do?

It's starts with Taumalolo's second spell I reckon. He's the best ball running forward in the game and we can't contain him.

Yeah we lost by a point with injuries but the Cowboys were terrible with the ball for most of the game.

They've had the wood over us in big games for years now and I just don't see it changing - nothing in recent games suggests it will change, anyway.

I'm livid. Seething. Frustrated as ****. We lost that, they did not win.

To the doomsayers - **** you. We lost by one point, having shanked multiple opportunities and missed penalties. We could not buy a fucking penalty, what did we get, 3 in the whole game? **** you Cummins you piece of shit wanker. Every week we see passes off the ground called back to the play the ball, and that single call changed the entire game's momentum. Then you have Coote's try which was a fluke, the Cows are always good for at least one a game. We lost key players, and a few of them as well. We lost it, the Cows did not win.

Having said that. Milf...has he been sick this week?? He was well off his game tonight, I hope it's nothing serious or long-lasting. Wallace was exceptional and I would have liked to see him get more minutes. But their forward pack, **** me. They just keep rolling and rolling, and get away with fucking murder in the ruck to boot. We should have won that, the Cows were clearly vulnerable and we should have closed it out; but it's also not panic stations either IMO.

**** that game, ruins my fucking weekend. Fucking stupid game.

Seriously it is ridiculous. The last four games we've gone 2-2 with the Cows and apparently we now can't beat them? Umm...am I missing something there? We had them beaten tonight until we got key injuries and the Cows capitalised by bringing back fresh troops. We still lost by one point and all this despite Milf having his worst game ever and Kahu unbelievably missing a sitter. We also basically chased down another top four team despite giving them a 30 point head start and somehow we don't have another gear to go to? This attitude that the Cows are unbeatable really ticks me off.

gotta say i was impressed by granville did not think he had it in him for the full 80. he did well

Because they bring on Scott, Tamou and Lolo on together? Three monstrous middle forwards with fresh legs, might have something to do with it....

Close game that fell in their favour, as I expected. Despite our injuries playing a part, I do think there is some cause for concern. I believe the teams are roughly equal on ability, but they just seem to have our number most nights.

As for how we beat them? It's not rocket science. Our halves have to step up and make it happen. Milf did last time, but tonight we arsed about and squandered our opportunities.

One thing I will say.

The Mark of a true champion is delivering under pressure. Milf has been kicking field goals for fun when up by 30, and had a chance tonight under pressure but didn't come up with the play.

These lessons are invaluable for a young guy like Milf and he will learn so much from a pressure situation like that.

He will be better for tonight. God help the Tigers next week.

With a game played at that level of high energy to have key players out makes a huge difference.

Milford's lack of anything constructive didn't help. Hunt wasn't much better. Our halves have to build some kind of consistency and work together a whole lot better.

You can't beat the Cows if you let JT continue to run at the line. Wasn't Blair's job to at least in part contain him?

All in all, a great performance by team missing key players at ket times and it really told. Our forwards were terrific.

Milford just had an off night, that happens. This was the Cowboys night. Yes they made plenty of errors, but when they weren't everything was going there way with ref decisions and the bounce of the ball.

In the end we just beat ourselves (probably didn't help the amount of injuries we had) and I think that we really had no right to win that game considering how we played.

To be perfectly honest I don't thing we have played anywhere near the level we are capable of this year in both defence and attack. The solace we can take out of this season so far is that we are top of the table and yet are really the only team in the top four who has not peaked.

I think you're the biased one.

In our last 4 matchups it's 2 all. They're hardly better.
