PRE-GAME [Round 12, 2022] Broncos vs Titans

Watch how the refs "manage" the game by penalising us incessantly in the ruck, hold our defensive line a very generous 10 metres, call defenders back when looking to put pressure on plays, and just generally give the Titans as much possession and field position as possible. Then when we've been starved of the ball and exhausted by the constant defending, Money Fifita will amble in off the wing, push a couple of our defenders away and score a try, as the NSWRL officials and bunker high five each other over creating such crowd-pleasing entertainment.

The most obvious thing now is how often a team had to work their way out of their own half in the first 40 minutes. Teams like the Panthers will get marched down the field every time they’re in it and people wonder how they’re so fit in the 2nd half

Anyone else noticed this?

I doubt he'll be straight back into the 17, but he would be handy to have at Souths playing 7 alongside Mam in ISC
Surely as he's unsigned for next year and we have Gamble, Mam (and in a pinch, Walters) - who have been winning us games - he's likely played his last NRL game.

Fifita back to full contact training.........might as well lock him in

Good run traffic at him all night. This is one of those games the team can make a serious statement in the competition.

Run a man to each side of Fifita and make him work for it all night long. He will be gassed and frustrated within 30mins.

Provided Dave is only running at 70%. when fir he does have more threat of scoring a try than Mofo does.

When he scores 17 tries in a season. He's not being paid to tackle.
I understand this logic for a fullback or a half, but absolutely wrong when talking about a backrower. Fifita isn't a defensive liability, if he was he wouldn't have got that contract.

He’s getting minimum wage for his defence. That’s all it’s worth.

Probably be a bit of a slog for most of the first half then once Paix gets on we proceed to blow them away.

The key for the game is keeping it close in the 1st half, I think our second half performances are way beyond what Titans can handle.
