PRE-GAME [Round 12, 2022] Broncos vs Titans

We can hold 4th place if the Roosters lose to the Panthers tonight (likely) and the Sharks lose to the Titans, or only win by 1 point (possible). The Storm would have to thrash the Cowboys by 75 for us to take 3rd. Most likely we'll finish the round at 5.
And we finish the round at 5th place. 6 diff points shy of the Sharks at 4th and 4 ahead of the Eels at 6th.

And looking at it now the Cowboys loss doesn't look too bad we played terrible and they are a good team this year and Penrith we weren't playing how we are now and it blew out late.

Stupid Titans couldn't even beat the Sharks for us (so we could finish top 4).

Oh well, just delaying it by a week I think. Roosters should beat Sharks next week, and even if they dont hopefully we put a big score on the Titans. Raiders on a roll themselves, so hopefully they don't get destroyed by the Eels.

Risk here is that the Titans have lost a lot of their games by close margins and tend to lift against us, so this may not be a walk in the park. They can score a lot of points very quickly.

Titans played like shit today, but they will be up for this one.

Indigenous Round against the Broncos at Suncorp. They will want to put in a good showing and they tend to do exactly that. It's been a while since we've genuinely dominated them.

I have faith Reyno and Capes will keep them focused and to not take them lightly.

I rate Corey Thompson but the 15 or so cm Cobbo has over him will make for an interesting match up.

...these days, so can we. Broncs by 20.

Refs are studying hard right now on how to keep this game tight. We could win by 30 or lose by 2 depending on how well they go.

And looking at it now the Cowboys loss doesn't look too bad we played terrible and they are a good team this year and Penrith we weren't playing how we are now and it blew out late.

Keep in mind too that against Penrith the final score doesn’t tell the full story. We were missing half our forward pack (Haas, Carrigan, Flegler), Farnworth, Gamble and we also didn’t have TMM with us either at that stage. Even with those outs, we should have been 12-12 at HT of Staggs doesn’t drop the ball over the line. We also lost Niu to injury in the first half resulting in a team reshuffle in which Penrith ultimately spotted the weakness and put a couple of quick tries on us in a 10 minute period after half time. But I thought had we had our best team on the park we competed with them and that was on their home patch. And they have been destroying everyone they’ve played bar Parramatta.

Out of out 4 losses, only the Warriors one looks bad as Panthers, Roosters and Cowboys look like they’ll be top 6 teams this season. We also have a different team since we played those opposition. Only excuse in regards to the Warriors game was we had our entire back row out and Flegler came from suspension rusty and got put on report 4 times. Warriors also managed to somehow beat NQ as well the following week…

So overall we should be very happy with where we sit but we need to seal this game whilst the Titans are down on confidence to really seal our strong position heading into origin. Out of the current top 8, we have played 6 of our 11 games against that level of opposition. In contrast the Sharks who are marginally ahead of us have only played 3 of 11 against top 8 opposition.

I really want to see how we go against the Storm to see where we really are at against our bogey side. Storm and Cowboys back to back away from home during Origin will be a good litmus test for the run home after origin.

I think if we defend well, we'll beat them.

The Titans are the kind of team that will beat you 30-20, only a couple of other teams have conceded as many points as they have.

If Reynolds plays I’m probably the most confident I’ve been of a win in the past 3 wins.

Last game before origin teams are picked. I expect staggs, Cobbo, Oates, haas, Fleglar, Carrigan and capewell to have big games.

Titans have Tino thats about it

Fifita is due back. Unless someone has a recent update that says otherwise.

They looked barely NRL grade, and the Sharks showed they can't last the distance to be a premiership threat.
