I don’t get it sometimes. Jensen was keeping Flegs out of the starting side for ages and now barely gets any time - is he injured?

Gutsy in defence.
Staggs and Mam went missing again tonight.
Said it before and I’ll keep saying it, life after Reynolds doesn’t look good. The club really need to sort it, it needs to be a priority. I wouldn’t be shocked to see reyno miss a bit of footy over the next 18 months.
Go after either hunt or walker.

Great grit by the team. Can't fault them for that effort (it would have beat any other team in the comp). Unlucky not to get anymore tries, but Penriths defence is too good.

This team's going all the way this year!

Honestly, two tries to one, had a few opportunities we couldn't quite ice - and credit to Penrith (yuck) there - you can't be disappointed with the effort. With Reyno and Oates in it might have been a bit different.

Thought Madden improved on his first game. Nothing flashy but made his tackles, kicked fairly well given the field position he was given, had a few nice touches.

Madden does not belong in 1st grade yet. All his kicks were just clearing kicks when he should have chanced their arm with more chip kicks.

A decent effort. Wish we had better ball control. Probably would have won. Great defence, they didn't score off poor defence

Again, not totally upset with that loss. Penrith are the back-to-back Premiers and were excellent in defence. We were without Reynolds, but we defended really well and should give us confidence going forward.
We really need to work on our discipline and attacking decision making. There is a lot of good things to take out of this game and Reece Walsh isn’t going to play that poorly every week.

We did well to hang in there and have come a long way since 2020. That had flogging written all over but we held them out plenty of times. But our ball control and discipline is still a major issue. We aren’t building any pressure and are tackling ourselves to exhaustion.

speaking of exhaustion I think the second year blues are finally catching up with Ezra mam. Last year he had the Midas touch and would have set up two tries tonight but instead bombed both.

Plenty of effort.
Maam and Staggs were both terrible.
Walsh was rocks and diamonds.
We have so many stupid errors in us, we just will not compete against top teams executing like that.

We’ll drop out of the top 4 on the back of this and rightly so.

Our halfback stocks need some work because without Reynolds we have very few points in us.

I don't think we embarrassed ourselves, it requires big plays to beat penrith because they always get all the ball in every game, Mam just wasn't clinical enough in the two chances we had to nail that would have been tries, I think with Reyno we would of won this.

We just don't know how to grind. When there's a loose ball we always go the hero play, even when severely under pressure and being dominated.

Kevvie use of the bench is fucking stupid. We keep Jensen off the park for 70mins in a game we are being destroyed via field position, a week after keeping his utility on the pine for 70mins in a game where we lose the halfback. Make it make sense.
