For all the talk of the issues with our attacking structures, or lack thereof, I think if they can tighten up defensively it would be of far greater benefit to the team. The team can put points on, but at the moment I think there's more issues when they're without the ball. Especially the right hand side. That's why I just don't think they can persist with Knik. If he was more solid in defence, I think people would be more forgiving of his lack of ability to control the game.
And it seems that teams are targeting him now on that edge, so unless he can improve his reads and tackling, I think he'll become too much of a liability. And maybe if he/the RHS defence do tighten up, it could give him the confidence at the other end of the field to step it up. I've always said confidence is more powerful than any PED, (not sure if Gallen and co would agree with that) and I think he's our best option at 7 if he gets his defence sorted.
That's why I'd be far happier to win by keeping the Eels under 10 points, even if we don't go large, than say a 36-26 sort of scoreline.

Placed on report and then released without charge because apparently striking the head of another player with your own head and not even attempting to wrap your arms around them, is neither careless, nor reckless nor dangerous according to the Match Review Committee...

Mccullough has a 150 game plus combination with the lilely halfback (hunt), amd plays 80 minutes and has been in better form this year. In fact for every year bar possibly 1 year he has been. Every good judge also thinks it will be mccullough. Ive only heard 2 terrible judges in gasnier and tallis say different names (they said dce or hunt so even they couldnt pretend granville was a better option)).
I get there is a strong anti-mccullough theme in broncos-hq but the support he is getting from every single person who is in a position to warrant listening too surely puts to bed this notion that mccullough is below average. He is a great hooker, he isnt cameron smith of course but he is a great hooker...

That bench looks terrible. Not saying its your choice that makes it terrible, just that we have almost ran totally out of options... hope mcguire is back and wouldnt be suprised to see him given its the last game before origin. Also, is flegler close to a spot? The energy these debutants are bringing is helping us against the big teams, and given our poor attitude against the bad teams that has cost us games that energy may be needed

Sims endeared himself to me with that post-try "I knew what I was doing" head tap after he picked up the loose ball and scored a try when everyone thought it was an obvious off-side (but he was actually made on-side by an opposition deflection).

He gets bagged a lot here but he does a no-fuss job and does it pretty good. And because he reads this site, he'll show his acknowledgement in a secret message in a tweet that only I will get. Thanks K.

That's twice he's done that now... also responded to Andy Raymond when he was blowing up about Napa getting binned indicating that he was alright too.

Kind of shows how pathetic the media can be (Raymond... not Garry who is reasonable when reporting on Broncos). They'll blow up about player welfare and social injustices (re. Lodge) when the PC crowd start to grumble... but a guy gets flat out attacked on the field, king hit (Scott on DWalker), etc. and all of a sudden "it's just footy" or "bring back the biff".

Sorry but you can't have both ways boys.

Also overheard some sheep in the office today complaining about Bennett blowing up and just had to shake my head, because they clearly hadn't read the impartial reporting which included ALL of Bennett's quotes specifically those about reckless and careless contact to the head.
