POST GAME Round 12 - Broncos vs Sharks

Cheers. I was trying to convey that the few thousand dollars I spend p.a. on gambling is inconsequential and makes no difference to how I feel when we lose a game in such a fashion. Huh? Silence people. Take a few tablets and have a good lay down, this loss is making your mind erratic.
How dare you have money

I don’t usually wish to get into disagreements with people on forums, but your arrogance on these forums is obvious. Can you lend me some shekels for said tablets?
Sure, how much do you need? I'll leave a hundred in an envelope and here's the address where you can pick it up. 14 Far Queue Street, Lower Knobgobbler Estate, Pricksville Victoria.

Cody Walker is going to tear our slow moving, poorly spaced and retreating defensive line to shreds. Cook will destroy us up the middle - again because of our crap marker defence and retreating line. Reynolds and Walker will run wide and pass wide to expose yet again Coates's dreadful defence. Just watch.

Bennett knows exactly how shitty our defence is and exactly how to exploit it. I see a big loss unless things change which, under Seibold, they probably won't, our rubbish wing defence hasn't changed all year.
Well I did say that unfortunately they will turn up to smash us.

I did originally leave it at that, but decided to put some context that if we did actually turn up when travelling to Sydney in this covid climate, that souths middle is weak...

So if we turn up we may get an even share of possession and our pack can make meters to get us in position for points.

But it is more than likely souths win by probably 20+ points... and old man dementia does another little jig in the change rooms for the Fox cameras

We still lack a genuine mongrel of a prop that dominates the middle. Our whole forward pack consists of backrowers in my opinion.

Carrigan and tpj for the middle and move haas to the edge.

I agree with you fully we need some more intimidation in the middle.

On the plus side I doubt this season gets to the finals. 2-3 more weeks of play tops before our overlords lock us down. Might be over mercifully soon.

Almost like we need some big rough head leader in the forward pack that we've been missing since Moose left.
He’s been fucking brilliant this year too, if we didn’t sign so many average contracts he would have easily been afforded.

Lots of rumours around guys not liking him in our playing group but now I’m 100% convinced that most of the playing group are soft as **** and that’s why they don’t like him....seems like they’re the ones with potential character floors.

Another record of despair set by Seibs tonight. The worst ten game sequence in Bronco's history (1-9). They have now given up as many points in 12 games as they did in 24 in 2015.

No excuses tonight, they were playing on home turf against a D grade side who were even less experienced than the Broncos. They had it in the bag until their deplorable defense fucked it up yet again. No positives to take out of this one as this is a game they should have won handily.

Yeah that’s it for me, been saying too a mate I won’t watch again but then dearden got included so I wanted to see him play and then turps, so again I also wanted to see how he went but next week if it’s Fifita I couldn’t give a fly ****! Unless the coach is gone I’m out. I deal with my two kids under 4 and look forward to watching footy for an exciting escape but all it’s doing it ruining me the next day. So I’m doing the responsible thing and pulling out of watching a full match.

I get they are trying their asses off You can see it in the young Guys but in the end their effort is not getting rewarded and **** me that must wound these young guys

26-18 is a winning score line but again it comes down to our inability to score more than 30 points (we have done it once under Seibold just once that is unheard of from the broncos) and our inability to hold a team to under 20, and even 20 is way too much.

effort was there but again the opposition had an even more inexperienced than us. The ’plan‘ is not working

We do have that player in TPJ, but Pies doesn't want to put him there.

This season is a writeoff we all know it, so might as well see Haas in the 2nd row just to see how it works.

I tend to agree it's the classic case of a team forgetting how to win. Some of the tries the Broncos gave up tonight were so symptomatic of a team that was struggling that even when they were winning as a fan I just felt so frustrated.

Take the Mulitalo try for instance. Brisbane on the front foot, Staggs takes on Talakai and thinks he has him beat before Siosifa gets him with a good tackle. Instead of just swallowing his pride, Staggs throws a loose intercept that happens to sit just right for Mulitalo and he runs all the way. Then to really rub it in, Flegler actually grabs a hold of him, but the jersey rips and Mulitalo escapes against the run of play.

Then right before half-time, Brisbane score a nice try to give themselves all the momentum heading into the break. All they have to do is play the set out and Kennedy turns the ball over meekly. The defence is at sixes and sevens and the Sharks score a fairly commanding try just before half-time that gives them all the momentum heading into the break.

Then with 10 to go, Dearden comes up with the right play to earn the six again and play the game deep down their end. Naturally Cronulla were always going to go for the short kick-off, so players had to be ready. All Ofahengaue had to do was jump and take it, something he would have been trained to do at an earlier age but he offloads the problem to a 19 year old. Dearden still should have taken it, but he just let the situation get to him. I need to see a response from him because you can't have a half who completely falls apart in these moments.

Brisbane had the better of Cronulla in most of the key stats tonight. I've seen all sorts of hidings this year, this was the first time I saw them as the better team lose the game. It's just so frustrating from their perspective and I can't see anything in the way of solutions.

Old mate Dearden, his little jig step needs to be timed better.

18 point turnaround in the final 9 minutes. Defies belief. This one would have hurt more than the 50 point thumpings because they were actually trying to turn it around. Even the old veterans played like they wanted it for once. Never thought I'd see Broncs get the spoon but this is the year. The courier mail did promise Seibold would add to the trophy cabinet.
