Round 12 - Broncos vs. Warriors - Post Match Discussion

Look, I really didn't think we could win tonight. That's why *cough VRL plug *cough* I thought we were shoe ins with SJ as our goal kicker, he was going to have so many attempts it wasn't going to be funny...but it's still plain sad.

Broncos are a side that no matter who wears the jersey has a dig. Tonight, we saw a side that was simply listless and wanted to pack it in well before full-time. A couple of special efforts from Hoffman, Reed, Prince, Kahu and Hala who kept trying but the rest were absent.

Is it a major strike against Griffin? Definitely and he can't afford too many more before this season is done. If we miss the 8 again, I can see us going in a different direction next season.

What did you all make of the experiments? Was Wallace a good hooker? Hunt a good halfback? Macca a good backrow? Whitchurch > Maranta?

We need a new coach, new defensive coach, a new fullback, a new half or 2 and someone who can lead the forwards in the absence of Parker and Hannant. No, not Glenn, he was just chillin' there most of the time.

Hunt has played 4 games in the halves, I'd still give him more time, just like the other losers got, but it does look like he'll end up a numpty.

I thought the shuffle worked, needed a fair share of the ball to properly assess

That was fucking disgusting.

I don't give a **** what needs to be done, who needs to go, who needs to be purchase.d Just fucking do something about this ball bag of a team.

We just got annihilated by the team on the bottom on the table. Origin stars or not, tonight was unacceptable. They should be absolutely fucking ashamed of themselves, the whole lot of them.

No more comments on the game from me, I've said my piece in the game thread. Disgraceful isn't a strong enough word.

Wallace was great at hooker. Wallace with Granville on the bench would keep up the pace through the ENTIRE game - if the rest of the squad could handle it, which at the moment I doubt.

Hunt blew it. I still think we should persevere with him at #6 or #7 for a few more games, but he wants to start improving real quick.

Macca was OK I guess.

Whitchurch had a horrendous start, but I'd like to see him get another crack. He showed good energy, bent the line a couple of times - I think I'd take him over Maranta again next week at least.

There better be some heart and pride in the jersey next week.

I wonder if that performance might get the alarm bells ringing. We all know it is tough for us at origin time but that isn't an excuse for that performance tonight. Hoffman, Reed and Prince had ok games and some of the forwards worked hard but we were simply out muscled by a much bigger pack.

It's hard to judge the shuffle on 3/4s of a game. I'm happy to persist with 6. Hunt 7.Prince 9.Wallace longer but Macca needs to drop to the bench and come on in spurts and Norman needs to learn when to stay out of the play.

As for the direction of the club in general, I've had enough. I won't be attending a single game until there are changes.

I expelled all my anger after last weeks result. This week, it is just laughable indignation. Our board of directors are asleep at the wheel, comfortable with our second place membership numbers and stock price. They seem to have forgotten that we are a football team, not a business. Griffin and Gee are officially the second worst coach/selector combination in the competition after Stuart and whoever the **** the Eels head of the footy department is.

Something must be done, and I don't think it's going to happen until the members start packing it in, and that is monumentally damaging to the club. All this talk of Barba to Cows and Folau to Bulldogs instead of us only makes it worse. Our club is lazy, complacent and full of what seems to be a boys club amongst the administration. Fucking useless.

I've never been more ashamed of the club. Wally, Lockyer, Tallis and Langer must be wondering what the hell is going on.

Line speed!!! Oh wait how can you have line speed when you don't move up, except for one who runs out and creates a hole.

3 in a tackle and they still offload. Angled runners or lack thereof same same with forwards passing at the line.

Lost the territory battle and allowed them to roll us

**** of a footy team.

Sure I can take a loss considering the circumstances, but conceding 56 points to the last placed team is unacceptable.

Not going to list names, but please somebody sort this mess out.

Yeah, really can't judge the shuffle from a performance like that but I think Wallace was good at 9, Hunt could do with more game time, Macca doesn't really have a spot in the team with our origin players back, I'd prefer Granville as bench hooker over Macca.

Reed looked good as did Hoffman and Hala,

I think the best outcome from this match could be he has the full support of the board and he can take Kearney with him.

do we still get the post game presser in this Monday night show on fox ??

And so the mid season free fall down the ladder begins. we play canberra in canberra next week too. Our for and against could possibly be -100 after. I think this season is gone for the broncos, they better start making big changes for next season
