I find it crazy to be shifting a hooker to sure up the backrow. It will be interesting to see how this gamble goes.

It's definitely strange on paper, if even a little desperate but I don't mind the idea.

Take Ryan Hinchcliffe as a good example of a dummy half playing in the backrow. Peats and Berrigan would do it too.

With McCullough in the backrow, you take advantage of his impressive defensive game. The concern will be whether or not he'll be able to adjust to edge defence where he controls the line speed as well as the opposition. Warriors are a huge pack and it's not like Macca is going to have a lot of support out there.

Still, I'm just glad Hook took a chance on this.

I'd be surprised if anyone was happy. It's just that one thing that stops him from being one of the best hookers in the world...but it just happens to be the most important part of being a hooker. But it can be worked on with repetition, like playing a guitar or something, so I hope he starts working on his passing soon.

He will keep doing what he doing right now unless Hook does something about it. You can't say he's lazy with the amount of defensive effort he puts in, so I doubt that is it. Maybe Macca thinks what he is doing right now is great?
