Individual ref bias. I mean if you think the NRL gave all refs an edict to penalize us more than other teams you need to take your tin foil hat off, I think.
Well it's also not related to the injury toll like you suggested, because when he posted this same graph last year we were right down the bottom again.

View attachment 39625Pretty crazy when you think about it. This proves it isn't ref bias and somehow related to the massive injury toll id suggest

That's damning because it's for MINUS against. It's not just "against", it's pitting what we are giving away vs what we are getting back. Middle of the road to suddenly the worst disciplined team in recent history in just 4 rounds, apparently.

We might be the worst disciplined of all time but what that graph shows is we also are not getting them back. When the previous worst scores were -20 and we're a full 50% beyond that...something absolutely ****ing stinks.

All his strengths are utilised on the edge, runs great lines, has great combination with halves, gets between defence and gets quick play the balls and tackles well.

In the middle he’s not going to get to do too much of that.

His attack and reading of Hamilton is first class. He’s scored three tries in his first six cup games just being in the right spot and running to the right spot.

He is similar to Capewell.
👍

There`s not a lot of tin foil left in the stores ATM .
@Cult bought it all up . LOL .

Subconscious bias is a thing, I mean we all do it in here and refs are only human. It’s why they should be banned from reffing whatever team they support and origin should be reffed by some pommy bloke from esl.

You'll like this fact.

In stats recorded since 1980, we've received fewer penalties per game than any other team (including teams that were so bad they no longer exist), except for one - The Dolphins, who've existed entirely in the 6-again era.

Twilight Zone team because why not try it out against the Dragons of all teams.
1 Hayze Perham
2 Phil Coates (Didn't do much wrong. Keep him in)
3 Kotoni Staggs
4 Josiah Karapani
5 Jesse Arthars
6 Reece Walsh (Controversial but lets get his hands on the ball as much as possible)
7 Adam Reynolds
8 Payne Haas
9 Ben Hunt (At least his first receiver doesn't have to jump to catch the ball)
10 Pat Carrigan (Take away his passing license)
11 Gehamat Shibasaki (He's leaving, may as well give it a crack while we are missing players)
12 Brendan Piakura
13 Tyson Smoothy (Can we request cap relief for Jensen and Mariner, lets get him back)

14 Ezra Mam (Spark, no responsibility)
15 Xavier Willison
16 Ben Talty
17 Jack Gosiewski

18 Tom Duffy
19 Va'a Semu

Another madge team, be interested to see a 23/24 one. You got either handy?
2024 we were net 0 penalties and restarts combined. 2023 we were net positive.

I can't find Eye Test graphs before that, but in 2020, 2021 and 2022 we were way down the bottom for penalties received (last, 2nd last and last respectively).

Yeah I've thought about this in the past. No doubt every ref grew up as a fan - they 100% would have Subconscious bias to their team. I don't even blame them tbh, everyone would.

I don't really care to look it up - but wouldn't be surprised if most of them are from NSW. So yeah, good luck lol. Also apparently Wyatt Raymond is a QLD'er. That dogs game a few weeks ago was the best we've been treated for as long as I can remember. Not a corrupt sport at all 🙃

Imagine the scenes if qld lose with pinga getting injures and no walsh even on the bench, walsh has a Mom in this game, and with ganderson back shiba (the origin rep called on to replace ponga) is dropped by madge with a vast improvement in our edge defence lol.
