PRE-GAME Round 13 - Broncos vs Titans

We should have a healthy lead though. My biggest concern is that it's close and he tries doing stuff he's not capable of in an attempt to win his spot back.

I always hate these games. The games we are expected to win easily.

These are the games that tend to make me very nervous. Something about everyone writing you off can really galvanize a side and make them play out of their skin.

I think a lot of players still don't come off the Origin high, they tend to keep trying even a few days after. So looks for some hopefully good performances from the younger guys, Oates, Haas, Fifita, Ofa etc.

He's named at 14 but it doesn't mean he will be the sub. I think it's a good move and McCullough must be ready and he must go hard. The coach will want to see a new more energetic McCullough because he owes him nothing and he knows what he expects from his hookers.
The poor bastard is coming back early from injury and you expect him to play the game that saves his career? I'm no Macca apologist but even I'm not that sadistic.

Yep, seems to work that way, then you get the hangover after the series is dusted.

Yep and Titans have too many ex-Broncos for my liking.

More likely we have Turps for 20min then Macca for the rest ☹☹☹
From the way Seibold handles things, I’d say Turpin will start and gets most of the game time which doesn’t surprise me as apparently he’s a big game man, and he won’t let the coach, teammates, himself down. And I’d love to see Turpin kills it and leave Seibold with the dilemma ( Seg, Macca, Turpin)

With Gillet of this age, I think starting Fifita would be a better option, Gillet could definitely use the break and Dearden also proves himself as a decent half defensively.

I thought Perese had his best game against the Hunters. Impressive running at the gap for his try. No way he scores that 10 weeks ago.

He still breaks tackles like no man's business but now he is becoming league smart and getting more involved and set up a nice try with a freaky pass and again more game aware.
Thanks for the update on his progress. I was hoping he was adjusting to league. Particularly given that he may be called upon given the release of roberts and birds injury.

Sometimes.

Yes. I expect him to be ready for first grade. No excuse at all. If he felt it (the injury) would compromise his performance then play in the lower tier until such time as it is 100%. As a coach I would expect that when a player declares themselves fit and ready for first grade then he would do so with the knowledge that I would make no allowance for the injury. Game fitness is a separate issue and I'd have different expectations for that scenario.

Surely Macca sitting in the coaches box for a month would have opened his eyes to what this team needs from a dummy half.
Amazes me sometimes that you guys don't know the difference between knowing and doing. Trust me he knows.

I'd agree with that, ( although it doesn't say a lot for The Hunters that Reddy can put such a huge scoreline on them, Reddy are pretty ordinary ). It's taken him a while to get to grips with how league works.

Paul Crawley reckons it is insulting that Macca is named in 14. **** off you weird looking ****.

What’s the bed that the next sex tape realised is of Bennett balls deep in Crawls.

with every article he writes or word he speaks he loses further credibility as a legit journo and becomes further known as solely Bennett's mouth piece ...

This is the right call by Seibs. it sends a strong message to Macca that he now no longer has a mortgage on the 9 jersey ... he either performs or perishes.

Macca has played his best games during the small number of times his position has been questioned (like the Smith rumours) ... now he has two legitimate threats to his position from within (Turpin and Segeyaro).

he is on his last chance

I agree with the second part concerning Macca but don't think that one failing invalidates Crawleys work . I've generally found him tolerable amongst intolerable tossers. Quite the mouthful that is.

May well be in a fight for the 14 rather then the 9.
