Macca out 4-6 weeks with broken thumb, we may need to seriously consider poaching a decent hooker from another club, if we have to use Waddell during the entire origin period we may be in significant trouble.

So Andrew McCullough is out for 4 to 6 weeks. Why not brocos try put Ben hut as hooker and nikroma as half back.

For Hunts form to return he needs to play in the 7 and keep working on his flaws.

FFS, this year has seriously taken a turn for the worst

Bennett will rest a couple next week if not all of them... Hopefully get a couple of forwards at least. After last night I don't like our chances barring a dramatic improvement... Having Waddell coming back for the next month is depressing the shit out of me

You'd imagine that most of the origin forwards will be rested. If the Tigers could dominate our pack, then the Warriors sure as hell can. And without Macca.

I can't remember the order our players were rested last year, but I imagine Wayne will rest 2 and play 4 after each game. First up will probably be Parker & Thaiday.

Dreading this, NZ in NZ and they will probably turn up for once and dust us.

Because ....
Hunt would be a speed hump at 9
He has made 548 tackles this year with 73 missed
Macca 1296 tackles, missing 35

Put him at 9 and there will be a lot of kick off practice.

It's completely different defending on the edges and in the middle. Hunt would probably even do better in the middle. He can definitely tackle when the opposition is running straight at him.

And yet Gillette has made 1037 tackles and missed 59,
There are only 4 players in the NRL with more than 1000 tackles 2 of which are hookers. Its a specialist, defensive position these days.
Lucky for Hunt Gillette defends inside him, it wasnt by accident the Tigers ran all their plays at the right edge. There is no way Hunt could play hooker, not a chance in hell.

Goodness me Pangai Jr impressed me last week, absolutely took his opportunity with both hands.

If Nikorima goes, give him the bench spot. Walker can stay in Sydney

Always a danger game across the ditch. Down on form too. Put it this way, we are only 2 games ahead of the dragons...

Meh, this Origin period is the perfect opportunity for the young forwards to get the experience we will need if there are injuries as one example, and for Milf, and for Hunt, and for Hunt+Milf, to keep getting it together for when it really counts - the back end of the season.

We have the players, and we have the coach to be there where it counts: finals footie, and the Prize which we richly deserve.

I certainly am a lot more concerned about this match than I was the Tigers. I thought our young forwards did a fair job against the Tigers, it was our poor kicking, ball control and errors that really killed us.

The ball control and errors were a real concern but our forwards got dominated, hard to do anything with little field position like that.
