What this team needs.

Why would he be frustrated? He played like shit as well. Looks lazy in attack and defence. Just because your mate Lachie and Reed were worse, doesn't excuse the fact he was also bad.

Frustrated because the ball never comes hes side thats why! Always to that retard Reed.

Agreed. Roberts was bad. His "defence" on Hoffman was horrifically lazy. He didn't even touch him. A centre on a second rower. He needs a rocket or he can **** off before he turns into a 1 year wonder.

His arm grab on Kata was another shocker, and for a bloke with all this supposed speed, where was he on the Kahu try? Just lazy.

We really need to retune our attack , but really hard to get have much confidence with Jack Reed occupying one of the important attacking positions. Would there be any chance at all of tempting Hodges out of retirement for the run to the finals?

Saw this one coming, just shows how vital McCullough is in defence.

Would be nice to have some depth at hooker like we used to.

Maranta can **** right off, Reed not far behind.

What were your thoughts on the game?

I thought it was pretty shitty

Reed & Maranta don't really deserve to be in this team, Roberts is on thin ice as well. It's a shame we don't have a bit more reliable depth in the outside backs, otherwise I think Wayne would've taken action a while back.

Let's hope Inglis comes on a discount, we could really use him on that left edge with Milford.

Can't understand all the Roberts hate when he doesn't get the fucking ball !!!

Maranta and Reed on the other hand ....

I've wondered how serious Sam is as a player for a couple of years now and IMO his transition to a 'personality player' shows he has an eye on retirement and life after football.

In light of the meteoric rise of Arrow and Pangai Jr, he probably got the tap on the shoulder

Agree. That edge was is what is really letting us down. It is our best edge, but we don't have the speed to capitalise on what space Milford and Boyd have created.

What did you think of the forwards?

Just need to get through this Origin unscathed and we should be all good in the back end of the season.

We usually don't do too well during the Origin period, it's not foreign to us. Last year was a very rare run.

We should beat the Raiders. Those two byes before the Origin games will come in handy.

We're still in the top 4. Bulldogs have to win by a very very large margin to overtake us.

I just want to add that a top 4 position at season's end is the key to a grand final appearance. Who cares if we lose a few games in between but as long as we are in that ladder position by Round 26 we'll be in great stead to make another finals appearance.

It could be worse, we could be supporting the the Knights, Roosters, Titans, Dragons, Sea Eagles. etc.

We need to lock down our defence and quickly. I'm hoping Wayne surprises us next week and drops Reed for Kahu to centre and Seve on the wing. A statement needs to be made that these spots in this squad are at a premium right now and we can't be playing like shit.

Yes Sam seems to be playing like someone who has achieved it all. He's lost a bit of desire and really only produces when he gets called out and feels he needs to prove a point.

Pangai & Wallace were the best, Ese'ese & Blair did some alright things, McGuire, Glenn, Thaiday, Parker & Ofahengaue were non-existent.

If we were playing great football and this mid-year thing was purely about players missing through Origin I'd agree, but the cold hard truth is this team isn't playing well and hasn't been for most of this season.. certainly not nearly as well as they were playing this time last year, despite some of the scorelines this year looking a bit prettier.

This broncos team isn't one that can rely on a couple of super stars to get hot and drag the whole team along with them, Hayne-like. It's a team that needs everything and everyone clicking like it was pretty much the entire way last year.
