We could really use Xavier Coates and David Fifita hey.
Yeah would be nice if the nrl allowed clubs to retain their jrs. In reality we had to compete with a club throwing 1.2 mil at a rookie.

Who cares about Coates. Arthars and Mariner are fine. Oates being picked is on the coaching staff, surely there’s a bloke in qcup with speed

I’m confused boys, I love Kevie but at the same time, I feel like other coaches are doing alot more with half the roster we have…. Like I said I love Kevie, but has he just been gifted a great roster and that’s why he’s performing? A forward pack with Haas n carrigan shouldn’t be getting dominated like we are
He has one of the worst benches of all time to be fair (which is partly on him, partly on injuries). Gosi, Baker, Hetho provided zero impact last night.

We lost the game in that 20 min period after half time when both sides’ bench forwards were on the field.

He wasn't at the birth. The kids was born. I get 2 weeks off and then go back to working 6 days a week for a 10th of their income. Ive known dozens of people who have went straight back to work hours later, or at least within a day or 2. He's probably already had a week off with them and is playing in brisbane for a few hours.

If it's the ACTUAL birth I apologise of course, wouldn't ask ANYONE to miss that. But if the kids born it's a completely different story...

I will break it to you gently.

It's not the Stone Age any more.

All I can say is, “thank fark the Sharks are shit”.
Their attack is piss poor.
Any side worth their salt would’ve and could’ve easily put 40-50 on the Broncos last night.
The Sharks are not a team that worry me in the slightest with a full strength team.
They won by 10 points despite us playing with 16 players and they had 18.
I count Fletcher Baker as a Sharks player, he helped them more than us.
Same could be said about most of the squad, however, they have at least done something at some stage of their careers.
Baker wouldn’t get a gig in a local, country footy team in the depths of South Australia.

Watching the Storm v Knights. It’s clear that we’re getting smashed in the forwards and the ruck. It seems they officiate teams very differently when it comes to laying all over the play the ball also.

It’s stuff we can fix but we’ve gotta want to work hard to do it. At the moment it seems like we just aren’t working hard enough.

Midwives and hospitals alike have always encouraged (and still do) the mother and family to get back to normal life as quick as possible.......

Your point?

That was a tough one. We did so much good work in the first half and to watch it dissolve in such short order was disappointing. I hate to say it but our rotation just isn't up to grade. Each of their tries where gifted to them on the back of errors from our second stringers. Man what I would do to have Palasia back.
It's a shame but we are missing some of our first up outside back second stringers and forwards so there really doesn't appear to be anyone else.

Broncs are making colossal number of handling errors at crucial times. This cost them possession, Attacking opportunities, Defence and impacts on structures .I found the players are not mindful of what they do. Lack of concentration. Very casual at times. This was happening repeatedly from last year.
Even the tackles are half hearted ,allow the opponents to offload with ease. Talented players and a coaching team. However never know whether they got a strong sports Psychologist to improve the effort areas.

Back to basics this morning at Red Hill. Ball drills and tackle bags. And the video session of just the first 15 mins of the 2nd half.
I don't think we have any replacements in the 30. Willison sure, but we were hoping to get some minutes into BTK during Origin and we are also sorely missing Hoeter as outside back cover.

When everyone gets over their tantrums they will realise that this week willison will come I for Baker and the rest of the team will be unchanged.

We are allowed to be disappointed d with the loss. The sky is not falling though. To make 120 more tackles than the Sharks but only let in 22 points is a silver lining we can take from the game that is for sure.

I haven't been overly confident about our chances since the Roosters rematch. We were full strength at home and the Roosters missing Tupou, JWH, Radley and Leniu and we went in to halftime dominated, down 18-6 and lucky it was only that much (the second half was a write off due to the injuries and sin bin).

We are ranked worst in the league for Possession, Set Completion and Errors, and second worst for Ineffective Tackes and Handling Errors. You can't win a premiership getting dominated on the stats sheet every week and relying on counter attack.

What they are lacking is leadership.
Patty, no question, is our MVP. First player picked. Best forward in the NRL. His work ethic is impeccable and leads by example in every way. Payne and Corey Jensen, not far behind. On and off the field, front of camera, they tick all boxes.

We've all seen that video of Patty mic'd up, barking rugby-league-isms. It was a pretty convincing show. Whether it was helpful, or anyone listened to him, I'm not capable of telling. But ex players always cite that as the reason he'll be the next QLD captain.

But that's not the leadership we lack: we need rat cunning and vision that can see beyond the middle forwards. I don't think Patty is on top of that, and neither Ezra nor Jock seem to take on that role.

Obviously, we get this from Reyno in spades. But, I think the player we really missed was Walsh. While Patty is the emerging captain on the Honours Board, I think it's Walsh who will increasingly steer the team around. I think we underestimate what he brings to the team beyond his flashy breaks.

I'm sure Willison would have been an upgrade on Baker, but he's still a rookie and finding his way as a regular. This dummy spit over him taking a game off for personal reasons is way overshooting the mark. If there's one job where you should be replaceable it's bench forward for a mid season rugby league game.

Baker was not the difference between the two teams.
