POST GAME Round 14 - Broncos vs Rabbitohs

At the game on the big screen, it looked like a booble but it didn't touch the ground and I couldn't see any evidence of it being knocked on into a souths player so in my opinion there wasn't conclusive evidence.

That spinning action is the evidence. Just losing grip for a moment wouldn't make the ball spin. A glancing blow on Walker's arm would though.

Any word on Milford? Thought we might have heard something by now?

I don't there's much more to find out right now, as Wayne said, it'll be 6 weeks before the soreness & mobility restrictions from the dislocation subside, at which point they'll probably give him another X-Ray / MRI to determine if there's further structural damage that requires more rest and/or surgery.

Yeah this.

And if you look under the ball, you can see fingers. Those aren't Moga's.

That's why the ball didn't touch the ground before he regathered it, because it hit a defender.

Re: Milford, we are lucky we have 2 byes coming up in the next month. The way he fell makes me worry it could be more than 6 weeks though.

Yes they are, look at the side on view again. Now compare it to the front on and look at what happens when they both land. On the side on you can see that Walker's hand is actually pinned back and isn't near the football and Moga actually has fingers underneath the football.

So does Crichton.

I thought he regathered before it hit the ground and didn't hit the opposition....but I'm bias AF

My initial reaction was that I thought he fumbled it in to the Rabbitohs players arm and then regathered, but who knows honestly.

It's a more likely explanation than a Souths player having their fingers underneath the ball.

I'll give the bunker the benefit of the doubt. We all saw 2 angles, they have a lot more to work with and the footage we're watching isn't necessarily what they're seeing. Tough call, but you have to cop them every now and then.

To me there is enough doubt, so the onfield ref's decision stands. T - R - Y try

At this point the ball has come away from Moga's hand.

If you look between Moga's arm and the ball, what do you see? There is absolutely no way that ball did not touch a defender.

The side on contradicts that front on angle.

But again Aldo Aldo while I'm with you based on what we saw it's hard to rule against it, it's worth remembering the bunker has different angles we're not privy to. It was a loose carry from Moga so I'm sure there was a more damning angle.

There may be no totally conclusive images, but I'm convinced he lost it into a souffs player, besides not regaining control before grounding, so I'm totally at peace with the decision in this case.

We've had tries taken of us by the VR, that were true incomprehensible blunders, which even Archer had to admit to. Those are the ones I prefer to focus on...

How does the ball spin then? You know me, if I can find a way to feel cheated I will, but I think the right call was made in this instance.

Doesn't the bunker need conclusive evidence to overrule the onfield decision? I don't feel we can confirm that the ball hit Crichton, there isn't any video evidence that we've seen to confirm it. Unless Big Pete Big Pete is right and they've got angles we haven't seen, I just don't think it's conclusive enough to confirm a knock on. And I'd say that if it was the other way around with the Rabbitohs getting robbed.
