Round 14 - Broncos vs. Tigers - Post Match Discussion

imagine hala catching a downfield kick on the full on the 20 metre line and having an open field to just wind up

i mean thats essentially what inglis is

I'm convinced. Hala for FB!

Our forwards really lifted their game as a pack compared to recent weeks......got us some good go forward.

Pity we have a complete numpty of a half who has NFI what to do with it.

A very dominant display against an injury ravaged side who looked disinterested tonite but that isn't the Broncos fault, I will take a win anytime (especially this season). Many good performances tonite but admittedly, it wasn't anything to get overexcited about.

Corey Parker continues to be in career best from, Princey had his finest game of the season to date with some very good touches and very strong defensively, Hannant"s return was incredibly strong, he needs to start performing against the big guns though, McGuire put on some good hits, Gillette was great as usual, Hoffman continues to shine in a very bad side, even Maranta was very safe tonight. Hodgo was again Hodgo, an absolute legend who continues to put his decrepid body on the line.

Wallace continues to get worse and is beyond even criticizing anymore, his last good match was round 8, 2012 and it is no coincidence that the Bronco's fortunes have went down with him, so important to have an effective playmaker, Sammy had his usual lacklustre game, dummy halves were poor once again and Corey Norman has had better nights.

All the problems that we had before this game are all still there, we still don't have a halfback nor a dummy half, we don't have forwards who can match it with the bigger packs and we r still coached by a guy who shouldn't be there. But it will be nice to forget about all the negatives for almost a fortnight when they begin a horror 2 game road stand which will define the rest of the season.

Shitty 'ol Wallace! With a decent half we could of really smashed the tigers, they were so bad. Considering Penrith just resigned Isaak John and have Soward next year it looks like we are stuck with him. All in all glad for a win and good to see them giving a bit, Hoffman amazed me just as much as the forwards, Norman really is a selfish knob, cant' wait till hes gone even if he does have potential.

I only got to watch he last 20 minutes, but Macca looked sharp. Some good kicks on of dummy half that gave us good field position and good vision to set up Hoffman in the last minute. How was his first 60?

If Parker isn't named in the number 13 for the Maroons tomorrow I'll be majorly surprised, he was the best on field for the Maroons in game 1 and he's been the best on field nearly every game for the Broncos.

I reckon with a better fullback Wal would look a lot better, too often he lays it out to Norman with overlaps galore but Norman has to act like a prop. Plz Kahu or Bond.

Hell yeh baby we back in the game!!!

Wow, well well well. There sure must be a few members here this morning feelin a little bit silly with their dire predictions about last nite AND the lads prospects for the rest of the season lol.

How does that humble pie taste fellas? A bit bitter tasting I'm guessing lol

Hello Captain Hindsight!

The Tigers were crap and we were average. Big test against Warriors in NZ

Humble pie?

More like a warm meat pie, nice but ...

See you in the kitchen after the Warriors, Storm and Sharks

Hmm I think if YOU look at my posting last nite before the game you would have seen that I predicted the following:

The lads to win by at least 14.
The match would BE a free flowing affair.
And, Lachie Maranta would be solid defensively on the wing.

Don't like to stroke my own trumpet, but, I was one of the few who was extra-emely confident we would hit form last nite!

Yes, you did and well done.

All that we need now is for Hook to ensure all the forwards play like 5/8's - consistently;
Norman passes the fucking ball when a try is on offer
Prince goes to 7 and directs the plays
Wallace gets off the Valium and
the defensive line speed goes up at least 2 notches - consistently
missed tackles stay at less than 10

... and we will be genuine contenders

Well I backed them to win conceding 15.5 points but it had NOTHING to do with how good we might be and EVERYTHING to with how BAD the Tigers are.

Please stop laying the blame on somebody else, Wallace is utterly hopeless, a total embarrassment all because he is playing in a competition in which he doesn't belong. Changa Langlands could be back there and it wouldn't make any difference, even Gus doesn't want him any more.

Didn't get to watch the game last night and I've only just watched the highlights but it seems that all of our tries bar one or two were scored from extreme flukiness or shite defence and the first Tigers try was scored from complete laziness from Norman, we definitely needed that win and it will definitely provide a massive confidence boost for the team going into the bye but that's about it. The real test for us will be against the Warriors in NZ.

Overall though I am extra-emely happy with the win!
