Matt Thompson is calling the game again like he did on Friday. I must say I enjoy this blokes commentary a lot more than Hadley and Gilbert. Thompson calls the game with some enthusiasm and doesn't go over the top. A refreshing change from bloody Hadley babbling over everything and Gilbert stuttering.
Hope Thompson gets a bigger role in the commentary team if he doesn't already.
Wasn't watching too closely but from what I saw, the Bulldogs were looking to bully the GC and the GC kept finding answers. The likes of Mead and Roberts gave them plenty of strike and I thought the halves came up with some really good kicks.
The Dogs looked a little disinterested and while they created plenty of opportunities, were guilty of some lapses whether it be in support, under the high ball or in defence.
Interesting week for both teams next week. Both are involved in very winnable games against the Panthers (Bulldogs) and Warriors (Titans) respectively.
I'd agree with most of that BP. The dogs had a significant number of regulars out, but the stupid, basic mistakes (like forward passes on kick returns, wtf!!) kept giving possession and territory away.
In the end the Titans really just had to hold the ball and let the dogs destroy themselves.
