I suppose two years ago, Monday Night Football was the norm as well. This year it isn't and you'd think the NRL would be trying to broadcast to as many people as possible. Have they ever set aside a game for a Queensland Public Holiday? Serious question...
But you're right, we used to celebrate the Queen's Birthday around this time, but some silly buggers from the state government went and mucked that up. Not that it's a big deal, it's just funny watching two parties behave like children.
