Yup, I had said many times I wasn't convinced Kevvy was the right move. He was shit as an Origin coach, who in their right mind thought he'd go better at picking up a literal basket case team.

We need to steal someone and fast. Who'd want to play with these pea hearted fragile prima donnas?
 
In 20 minutes tonight Paix showed what we have been missing from our dummy half. Actually running from dummy half and crisp passing. We actually looked like we made more meters when he was on compared to Turpin, and Turpin actually had one of his better games.

I'm trading Coates out for Cobbo in SC as soon as I can. Get a bit of spare money and replace a spud with a young bloke that actually tries.
 
I still think we can get back home and win a few before the seasons out. I mean, we’re still shit but one more win and we’ve improved on last year …
 
Herbie good, smart player. Lodge wtf. Cobbo, solid game. The rest look lost. Hetherington send off was a joke. It's like watching that Kung Pow movie. Dude launched himself into his shoulder. Whatever, I'm pretty much done til 2024. The team is rattled. The calls in the first half were different to second half. Can't tell me the ref has no impact on the game. Anyway, Brisbane suck regardless, they have lost any winning mindset and lack a spine both in terms of footy and metaphorically

Have we? Kevvie has no one to blame but himself to be honest. This team was starting to point in the right direction (and I am not saying they were good by any means) but he just undid all of it by changing the whole team around and I just don't get it. I mean I understand some changes but almost the whole team, deadset.

Turpin the only one who tackle.
Love the Paix entry.

We cannot expect more from this team of youngsters, vets and Qcup players.

We Need to strenghten our center with good defenders.
Let the young play until the season's end.
 
It was the same story for the Broncos, just refused to come off their line in defence and let the opposition play all over them. Anytime they copped a rough call, they fell to pieces and points just flowed.

In attack they just had no direction or flow. They rely far too heavily on Lodge in attack and Matt isn't a lynch pin in attack. The edges were virtually MIA once again with Pangai only getting involved when the Raiders had 22 points on the board. Pangai had a chance to redeem himself but it seemed like he was bored and just started throwing silly passes.

The most disappointing part is that players rarely push up and offer lines. I lost track the amount of times Turpin or Gamble would look for a runner before just forcing a pass to a flat footed player. That's not NRL standard footy.

I'm disappointed Kev took so long to get Paix on. Thought on the shadows of half-time it would have been worthwhile to get him on. I thought he had some nice touches and I think he deserves an extended go. His defence still isn't great, but a 30 minute performance could at least give us a decent assessment, especially with how cooked the interchange system is.

Where to from here? I have no idea but more importantly, sadly I think neither does Kevvie.
 
Tell the young guys to bend over and kiss their asses goodbye for the rest of the year. Then shield them from the media and let the old guys take all the heat. Then once the cancer is off contract, then we can start to see something improve. There is something going on behind the scenes and we are being split between two factions. DD has to be one of the factions and maybe the board is the other. Who is going to win?
