POST GAME [Round 15, 2023] Broncos vs Knights

I think we will see a different Herbie when he goes to right centre.
Agree though, his last month has been average and he should be able to pass to a winger when needed.
I don't see Staggs setting up his outside man either, he is run first pass second as well.
Cobbo is lucky Walsh has a great cut out.

When they want to feed the left winger they use Capewell and Herbie runs an infield line . Capewell with the pass yesterday to put Oates in the corner only for him to lose the ball .

And with Capewell moving into the middle halfway through the match, we seem to lose that pass to Oates entirely 😞

Shout out to Smoothy for 2 charge downs in one play after the siren to crap the victory. Beast effort
He probably scores not long after he comes on when we did an our ball in ball between Walsh and Mam. He didn't push up in support if Mam.
Still, solid debut and was in the game and can only improve

I have noticed over the last couple of weeks that there has been a drop in refs calling out the slowing down of the ruck, and an uptick in penelties for being inside the 10 when defending on the try line. Must be another "crackdown" that will disappear after a few rounds 😉
Yeah, like the flu which is seasonal, crackdowns on rules is seasonal. They can’t enforce the rules all in a game. 😀

i wonder if it is the 6 agains making it seem worse
I think it's the types of penalties we get/concede. We won the penalty count against Cronulla 4-1 but three of those were for foul play. We then of course lost the 6-agains 3-1. My gut feeling is we get smashed in ruck infringements more often than not.

The ref are idiots, but there is no "conspiracy" happening. We are just biased Broncos fans (which is fine). Most other forums after we beat them are saying the exact same things about us (about how the ref let us get away with murder, etc.).
Refereeing professional rugby league under the scrutiny of a live audience, 26 bullshitting players all trying it on and freeze-frame replays is a really tough job.

Slicing open a human head to perform delicate surgery on the pink goo inside is a really tough job, so I for one am happy to give those surgeons who lose more patients than they save the benefit of the doubt. Give them harder surgeries the next week, I reckon.

And? There a hell of a lot of jobs as tough and many tougher but the people don’t get to say “oh well, it’s a tough job” when they fail and it is all no harm no foul.

Becoming a tougher job trying to hide their own bullshit.

They are the best at what they do. If they weren't someone else would have the job.

A question for anyone who was at last night’s game and sitting on the western side, relatively close to the tunnel : Was that Paul White on the ground after fulltime ?

This is what I thought but I wasn’t close so can’t say for sure.
