POST GAME [Round 15, 2023] Broncos vs Knights

Mate of mine complained about this too. But how many times do we turn the ball over going for the hero play. I was fine with him tucking it on 0 tackle while we were under the pump. We ended up scoring next set.
Yeah, sort of felt Oates would have fucked that pass. Take the tackle. We were on the front foot at that point.

Starting to get over Herbie running inside every play though...
This. I agree with most, we will miss the “other” Herbie. NOT the d!ckhead that was out there tonight. The old Herbie that thinks he plays both centre and winger. He used to do this in the past where he simply refused to pass and run away from any support. If he keeps this up, good riddance. Mariner will be taught to play for THE TEAM.

He kills more opportunities then he makes... i think it will look like an error for about 10 weeks of next season but will prove very, very smart in the end that we let him go, especially for the price he got

Boys found a way to win, this team is building to something special guys.

They looked tired and it's understandable, they just had two tough away games against quality teams who had just come off the bye.

To manage to win all three back to back games against teams coming off the bye is an amazing effort.

Noticed that aswell... then I thought "it's crazier that it felt like an average haas-level game"
The dude is genuinely insane talent. He plays like origin level but every fucking week. He's a no BS 9/10 performer week in week out. He has an insane motor but even more impressive is his discipline. He almost never conceded penalties, 6 agains and his error rate I think would have to be one of the lowest in the game on a per run basis.

I was just thinking similar, but if his usual game is a 9/10, that Dragons game where he was offloading was significantly better. Must have been a 12/10 game?

Good to come back from behind - last few years we would have folded. We are looking pretty tired, though. I hope the boys get a few days off over the bye.

I also hope Kevvie shows them all a photo of Dylan Brown before they get a break to remind them all to behave

yeah but come on it was an obvious one, can't complain about Oates game performance though.

Especially when you consider our fastest player Walsh was there.

But it's not his strength. Oates skillset isn't throwing a 5-6m pass while at full speed. If he throws it and misses the mark, he is scolded by Kevvie.
