POST GAME [Round 15, 2023] Broncos vs Knights

I don't know why no one in the team/coaching staff pull him up on it though. It's so obvious and easy to fix. He's strong and fast. Even if he doesn’t/can't pass it, he can make decent meters by running one on one with his opposite (similar to what Staggs does), instead of running inside into a billion defenders and slowing momentum.
He is an elite meter eater playing a prop like game same with Oates, I think the coaching staff have tried to keep it simple hoping Walsh is there when an edge play is on.

Great gusty win. Love it when we can find a way to win against all odds.
The last few years we lose that by 20.

Reynolds was great and seemed to have all the time in the world to get his kicks away. Unfortunately I think he just played his way into the blues side.

That flick pass from Mam was Smooooth.

Smoothy started dumb trying that grubber but that seemed to compose him afterwards. Made some solid tackles and seemed to be giving good service out of dummy half.

Piakura is a beast, can't wait to see more of him.

I wouldn't complain if we dropped Herbie and gave Arthurs his spot the way he played tonight. I lost count of how many times he came rushing in and completely fucked us on the edge.

Riki has really come into his own this season. His kick chase is something else and he's been making some tough carries as well.

Onto next week! Should win that one too!

as long as our players don't do something stupid we should win the bye, unlike Parra.

This. Correct again @Santa. He even joked about it in a presser last week. This kind of selfish shit will not be missed. Team effort.

Did anyone else know @Wolfie was a brunette?

🤣

back to the future hes an absolute dream GIF

Herbies defence is starting to become a very big worry
It was like him and Oates had never met before tonight

Over the years I've went back and watched games again after watching it live and thought that ref performance wasn't as bad as I thought... but the 1st half (not upto 2nd half yet) by Mr potato was honestly really, really, really bad...

Yes there were some bad calls that only seemed to fall 1 way, that happens, tends to even out, but hey, ppl make mistakes again and again sometimes... but, it was the fact that there were 3 very, very clear occasions where something happened that warranted/didn't warrant a penalty then it fell the knights way, then LITERALLY within 6 or 7 minutes, sometimes 2 minutes later the EXACT same thing happens with the only difference being jersey colours swapping and it still falls the knights way!

We did not show the Knights any respect, too much lateral ball movement and not trying to score off every play instead of going through the middle and laying a platform. Edge defence was terrible, some terrible reads out there and not numbering up.

Herbie is really starting to piss me off. Ball hog, too often he cuts back inside and/or dies with the ball. I am starting to think he may not be much of a loss. Credit to them for pulling the game out of the fire. That type of game in the last few years we would have ended up losing by 16-25 points. However, if we genuinely want to be considered as a premiership threat, we have to stop taking teams lightly, be prepared to do the hard work and to be patient. We can't turn in a performance like that against Storm, Souths or Penrith, we would get flogged.

How are people still piling on hate towards Billy lol. He just gets better every week.
Agreed. I wrote on here at the start of the season that Billy’s ceiling was at best a 5/10. I stand corrected. He can get to a solid 7/10. He was been playing the house down compared to Billy of old. No idea why all the hate towards him.

Not a great game for us but we pulled it out in that last 5 mins..

Farnworth seems to always wanna run back into the defense when we attack down the left.
Cobbo both hot n cold, frustrating..

Ponga looked the goods though tonight, I wonder what Billys thinking..
