Because Billy isn't a top level hooker, all Walters has done lately is kicked more and he should have a decent kicking game because he's a halfback not a dummyhalf.

Smoothy’s kick was dumb but he has one of the best dummy half pass techniques I’ve ever seen.

Agreed. I wrote on here at the start of the season that Billy’s ceiling was at best a 5/10. I stand corrected. He can get to a solid 7/10. He was been playing the house down compared to Billy of old. No idea why all the hate towards him.

Agree. I was never sold but just makes sense to give him the benefit of the doubt. He had never professed to be a hooker but after one pre-season he is literally the best 9 we have had since Turpin exploded onto the scene before he broke his leg and turned into a plodder. The way Billy Slater talks about him, if Grant or Hunt are injured he would probably be in the frame for an origin jersey..

Also unsure how the haters can be so critical of that game. We were obviously exhausted after playing 15 straight games of NRL with Origin in the middle. Knights coming off a bye were always going to look fitter and stronger. Massive heart from broncs tonight to claw that victory from the knights grasp

We lose that game last year, the year before and the year before. Knights came to play and play they did. Hard game to watch against a fresher, hungrier side. We're just the better team.

This is his first year as a hooker with a proper pre-season and he has been improving exponentially every week. Only have to listen to how the pro's are talking about him. Slater, Carrol etc all are rating him.

Bro he played quite a few games at hooker for the tigers. Just so you know. I had him in my fantasy team years ago, he actually went quite well until he did his acl.

But it's not his strength. Oates skillset isn't throwing a 5-6m pass while at full speed. If he throws it and misses the mark, he is scolded by Kevvie.

It wasn’t a 5 or 6 metre pass though, he had multiple players right next to him. If you can’t throw a pass in that situation you shouldn’t be in first grade.

People complaining about our performance but I thought the knights had their best game of the season and although we were off, we managed to find a way to win and sometimes that even better:
