Another really poor performance from everyone apart from our front rowers really. Thought Willison was great!

Those calling for Selwyn Droppo to play fullback are M.A.D. Hes an upgrade on Sailor in the very lamest of margins. Our best back tonight was Karapani, getting paid part time to play NRL.

Boy oh boy our halves were so bad tonight. Jock Madden, really bad. How much are we paying Ezra Milford again?

I think we just need to hope we get Walsh for the remaining games he can play and rack up a couple of wins. Season hanging by a thread
Cobbo isn't the only one dropping the ball all the time - lots of errors all round.

And hard disagree on the last line. Season is over barring some fucking miracle. It will be amazing to even make the 8 at this rate. Thoughts of a premiership are now laughable.

Feels like we’re bare minimum down 3 tries per game without Walsh in the team. Not only is he the best attacking player in the comp, but all of our attacking shape centres around him. If Arey was there he could adapt and play to the team’s strengths, but with both of them gone we just look like headless chooks.

Edit: special shoutout to a ridiculous early season draw, a cursed run with injuries, and origin for ruining the season. Hopefully we can sign someone like Klese Haas - or BTK is and firing - next year to replace plodders like gosi and Baker.

I reckon Kevvie needs to manage our Origin boys better. They all look buggered for one reason or another. Carrigan needs saving from himself now. We need to sit him out for a week. He's got nothing left.

If Reece isn't right for the next game, Arthars to centre and Cobbo to FB. Sailer is proving even more error prone than Walsh with none of the upside.
I'll be beyond amazed if Walsh is named to play away in NZ a few days after origin 2.

The season is over. It was over when Reyno blew his bicep, because we lost a tonne more with him than just a bloody good kicking game (which we're also missing a lot), but just his footy smarts. Without him this team is so low IQ it's frightening, and Madden has shown nothing to suggest he can make up that loss. He is trash. I'm sorry but that is the way of things. Bring Black in for a game or two, it's not like things can get much worse.

We're in the market for an experienced halfback within the next 2 years, whether people want to believe it or not.
Who doesn’t believe it? You are acting like everyone is screaming Madden is the answer and you are some kind of Maverick by claiming he isn’t.

Hold on to the fucking ball! Write that on a whiteboard and have them stare at it for 3 days on end nonstop. Wet conditions or not, we continually put ourselves in bad positions.

The live thread is always full of emotion, but I loved Cobbo’s involvement tonight. He did plenty of great things, dampened by plenty of errors.

Wolfie mentioned the same about Staggs; he wasn’t great, but his involvement was high, his defence was good.

Plug Walsh into this game and it changes everything; he doesn’t get dominated like Sailor does, he takes better options, he poses threats that open up other players.

Plug Reynolds into this game and it changes everything; Maddens kicking game was putrid, not just the actual kicking, but the positioning of where he kicks from

We are missing, quite literally, the 2 biggest cogs in this team. We all need perspective that we can’t have a system that adequately replaces BOTH of these players. Walsh without Reynolds and vice versa, we can patch together wins. Both of them out and it’s game over which is the same for any team in the comp.

There is NO team that has ever won an NRL premiership without their 2 best players and it’s crazy to suggest that we are any different.

It always seems like he makes his inside our own twenty, barely forced, or after he's made a break to put us on the front foot. Heartbreakers.
