Darren Lockyer. Why do you have to retire?

Would love for him to go around just for the Broncos. Will be such a sad day when he plays his last game, with any luck it will be in Sydney and he gets to hold up the trophy at the end of the match with the churchill medal around his neck.

Can't believe the Dragons fans saying that they "won" it off the forward pass try. What about the 2 they got after wrong knock on decisions. What about the 80 minutes of awesome football we played? And some dick on CM is whinging as well about the 3 times the Dragons were denied. Um, yes - denied because they weren't actual tries.

Dodgy decisions aplenty last night but we were by far the better team and deserved winners. Lots of credit to them (esp the Origin players) not to slow down late in the game and let them back.

Great for their confidence, impressive win.

I will miss him but this is how I would rather remember him finishing his career, not going out the way of Wally Lewis and others when their best years are well and truely behind them.

Massive effort from all involved, especially the forwards. It was eight players against their ten in the pack and we had two backing up as well.

And Hannant was immense, dare I say it, it was almost a Gallen-esque performance. :P

That was a great win when you consider how flat we were after 15 mins. I had my head in my hands after Nightingale went over the line but from then on our defence found their aggression and we were reasonably solid in the middle (apart from the Soward try shortly after half time).

Along with Taylor, Hala could be one of the best impact players to come through our ranks. He's pretty much unstoppable. Just needs to be consistent.

Lockyer turned the game with that 40/20. We're gonna miss the shit out of him when he retires but we're in good hands with so many quality youngsters coming through.

IMO reed threw it flat out of the hands. Not forward.

I just want some clarification on a rule here.

Last night, Jack Reed jumped up for a bomb, hit it backwards off his own hands and then forward off his head. Is this still a knock on despite the hands knocking it backwards?

Was wondering that myself. I wouldn't class it as a knock on.

It is. Similar to if you try and catch a pass, goes through your hands, hits your head or chest and goes forward. Knock on

Remember that Tuqiri try for us against Northern Eagles 9-10 years ago, I think it was passed into Tate's head, rocketed forward and Tuqiri ran through and grounded it for a try.
