Three things from tonight's game:

1. Outstanding defense - better than recent weeks.
2. Non-existent attack for 3/4 of the game.
3. Thank god we got rid of Sims.

I'm not worried by our attack at all. We worked our arses off in defense and got little ball on their line IMO. Cowboys were huge in defense. Let's not forget that. They were coming off the bye and us a 5 day break. So many positives to take out if that game for us.

Would rather forget this week of footy despite the promising performance.

To lose Origin and tonight as well is just a kick in the guts.

We had plenty of times tackled in opposition 20, Cowboys D was simply up to the task.

We didn't apply any pressure through either our attack (how many line drop outs did we force?) or our defence (too many ill disciplined penalties). Our kicking game was also poor. But happy with the goal line defence, over the last month whenever a team got within 10mts of our line we looked vulnerable, it was only at the end when we were tired we made some bad decisions.

Gillett seemed a bit quiet, poor miss on Bowen on the inside that led to the try.

It's not the scheduling, IMO: it's because of the resting of players.

We completed 9 sets out of 14 in the 2nd half, compared with 16/20 from the Cowboys.

What a great effort from us tonight, absolutely loved our defence. We were out of petrol for the better part of the last 30min and only let in 2 tries, both from absolutely brilliant plays by JT and Bowen. We just had too much inexperience tonight. The comming weeks should be fine I think.

In fairness to him Macca got sucked out of the line by Thurston and he couldn't match it for speed with Bowen

Pretty proud of the boys tonight. Copleys best games back to back. maranta shows a lot of promise.

Amazing defence but you can't maintain that for 80 minutes really. Kicking game could have been better. Maranta, Copley and Hoffman were outstanding in defence.

The way Maranta was playing, it was like he was a seasoned 1st grader, not someone who has only played 2 games.

Really? I can't remember being their 20 more than once or twice in the second half. They dominated possession and field position in the second half and 90% of the time that will win you the game.

I don't know why we didn't kick to Copley instead of running it on the last so many times. He was catching everything tonight

we lacked the class of locky to kick the ball deep and get us some control.

its hard to take a loss at any time but the effort was excellent. we were clearly dead at 60 and a couple of errors/bad decisions gave them easy ball.

the cows looked fresh leading into the end of the game and so they should have.
