Tate is just as injury prone as Hodges really.

Although I was surprised he backed up.

brent tate is much better physical specimen than Justin Hodges ...

Tate's a mad man but really he hasn't suffered the same kinds of injuries as Hodges so can't be compared.

Hodges would get hurt tripping over a leaf.

Someone mentioned before how players not backing up gives valuable experience to players like Maranta, Gibb and Lui to give us extra depth later on. Plus it keeps the others fresher. I'm liking this logic now, especially since we are so high up on the ladder.

hey that was me :)

anyway we can take alot from that game i think. i dont think we should make excuses for losing. there were certainly factors that were against us but it was a great effort for the most part. and a few things go our way and we could of easily won. as it turns out a few things went against us (errors at the wrong time, not the best kicks, etc)

Brave effort considering we were in our own half for most of the second half. We definitely frustrated the hell out of the Cowboys tonight with our defence. Thurston and Tate looked like they were going to drop dookies they were that tightly wound up.

The two matches over the last five days has been invaluable for many of our younger players. They'll be much better for the run.

Can't wait for next Friday. We'll be on song.

Pretty happy with that performance TBH.

Despite fielding a much younger and more inexperienced side than the Cowboys, we still held our own for about 60 minutes. As has been mentioned, our defence was top notch, but it took so much out of us that we had nothing left in attack. It was an extremely even match in the end, we were just a little unlucky.

McGuire and Hannant were great up front, and I thought Copley had one of (if not) his best game for the Broncos. Keep it up son!

Meh. We did good. Attack was frustrating but not worried. I hate the Origin period.

Even more annoying that they've beaten Brissy twice this year.

He went off at 65 or so I think it was.

But yeah, how has there been 50+ comments on here and not a single one had commented on mcguires powerhouse performance!? 50 odd tackles, something like 20 hitups, a few offloads....what more can he do to get an origin jersey? He was an absolute machine out there. He is exactly what QLD need to win this series, and hopefully that game finally shows griffin that he needs to give McGuire 60+ minutes.

I was very happy with that effort despite the loss. We were just too tired from the constant defends, and JT and Bowen were just all class. Bowen certainly threw his hat right into the ring for game 3.
