Round 15 - Knights vs Broncos

What would someone like Hasler or Bellamy do to this team? Blokes would be getting dropped left right and centre but we'd still be average, it's just the squad we have and we have to deal with it until we can make signings and flick the worst of the worst of our big money names (Boyd and Macca). Our last coach had a few years to change things and nothing happened.

Its quite damning really that the board seemed so dead set on getting Wayne out they overlooked his assistant who has in all honesty who has arguably outcoached Seibold at every level they have been in competition at. I'd be very interested to see what JD will do at NRL level.

There are signings coming this week apparently

I'm kinda hoping it's Cody Walker now, like those old rumours. We need an experienced half, and he's just a really competitive player too. Then we keep Milf at fullback and see if he sinks or swims.

Imagine what this scoreline is going to look like after this spineless piece of shit team has the penalty count levelled up against them. Cant wait

We need to put Boyd back to fullback for the rest of the game. Milford isn’t providing anything at the back

Problem is, its macca who's supposed to be organising the ruck when we have it and hes just passing for one outs or to flat footed players who are next to him.

He just has no imagination. No forethought. It's like he's scared to think outside the box.

You cant just blame one player for this mess. He is a problem, but we have a lot of others. We have no structure, no game plan and look really poorly coached. I dont think this group wants to follow Seibs.

Honestly i used to think a second brisbane team was dumb. Now i can't wait because maybe then at least there will be a team in SEQ worth watching.

**** it, im out

All those saying Bennett would be better. The Rabbitohs have a far superior roster to ours and have lost 4 in a row... Remember that.

Do you mean the last coach that had us challenging or making the top 4 every year?

We're barely staying above the Dogs and Titans for the spoon. This is partly a player problem but is massively a coaching problem.

Making the 8 and falling at the finals might be a talent problem. Losing a lot of games by 4-6 points might be a coaching problem. Getting fucking whooped every game, or every other game is a no heart, no respect, shit coaching problem.

The old Arsenal mentality of the top 4 being good enough; at least in the EPL you get a reward for finishing in the top 4. We were no chance of winning the comp with Bennett, the club knew that and tried to shake things up which doesn't appear to be working.

Even if we finish 14th this year it's no different to finishing 5th and getting knocked out in the first or second week: you still come away with nothing at the end of the day.

EDIT: if the end result of this season is we make signings in key positions like FB and are challenging for the comp within the next two seasons we'll still be ahead of where we'd be with Wayne.

Matt Gillett. $700k a season, 0 hittups in 40 minutes. **** off.
The ball's not getting to him though. Matt Lodge has more touches than Boyd. We don't need Gillett to take hit-ups, we need Gillett and Fifita and Shibasaki and TPJ taking angled runs, isolating defenders. But we're burning all our plays taking one-out hit ups up the middle. Do you think Gillett is hiding from the ball, or asking that they don't pass it to him?

Hes not the only issue but he is a big part of the problem.

The advantage of finishing 5th is a more enjoyable regular season due to having more wins.
