PRE-GAME Round 15 - Storm vs Broncos

I can't really take a win that seriously with Cronk out.

But it would be nice to get a win and keep top spot.

A win is a win, yes, and that's all that counts for mine, Cronk or not.

Both Origin time and injuries are part of the game, and a club's depth is an integral part of its chances in NRL.

If say Cronk, Smith or Slater are out for whatever reason, it's no different to us playing without one or more of our stars. It's a test of both depth and coaching.

Way it is, the good with the bad.

Joe was really strong on the weeekend against a monster PNG pack. He came off the bench did a really good job in defence. Jets were down 16-6 and he made an impact when he came on.

Runs 9
Metres 97
Offload 1
Tackles 18
Miss 1

Future petro.

So we've got macca like Smith, Hunt like Johns, Milford another Benji in his heyday, Wallace similar to hennant and the strike of our other players for years to come. . Liking it

We can only play what is in front of us, and if it happens to be a speedbump Storm at home, so be it.

Back to it yesterday; Reed in rehab group with Greinke. Hammy strain.

So, we may be without Reed next weekend ? Did he injure it during training recently ?

It sounds like Slater won't be playing.

His shoulder is busted up and I doubt Bellamy would risk making it worse by playing him.

He hasn't ruled out surgery after game two.

Even if he does play, Broncos should target that shoulder. It won't be 100%.

No Maranta, interesting.

But I guess with Cronk out, his selection isn't that important.

Doddsy is back. Hopefully if he doesn't play with us he goes back to QLD cup to get some match fitness.
Our bench looks so much better with Thaiday on it for experience.

Cameron Smith is enough to test Vidot so even without Cronk it's still a concern, having said that Vidot has been playing well. It will be interesting to see the final makeup of that backline, personally I think Hodges will be rested, kahu into centres, Maranta on wing. The other rep players will most likely backup.
