PRE-GAME Round 15 - Storm vs Broncos

Bellamy will give Slater every chance of backing up for this game.

He's never treated the Broncos lightly and every game against the Broncos has been a must-win for him. Even in cases where the Broncos are missing troops, he's been unmerciful and had the Storm just completely annihilate the team. So I can see him putting it all on the line, especially given where both teams are at on the ladder. Let's not kid ourselves, this could very well determine a Top 4 spot.

With the Broncos, I wouldn't take any selections to heart until Thursday if not Friday when all the news will come out about who is heading down to Melbourne to see who will actually play. On the face of it, you may as well rule Hodges and Thaiday out now and I wouldn't be too surprised to see Parker left out either.

If Bennett sticks to schedule I'd say Hodges & Thaiday will be rested with Maranta moving into the starting line-up and Molo onto the bench.

1. Darius Boyd
20. Lachlan Maranta
3. Jack Reed
2. Jordan Kahu
5. Daniel Vidot
6. Anthony Milford
7. Ben Hunt
8. Josh McGuire
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Adam Blair
11. Alex Glenn
12. Matt Gillett
13. Corey Parker (c)

14. Jarod Wallace
16. Corey Oates
17. Matt Parcell
19. Francis Molo

What I'd expect.

The combination of Thaiday backing up after Origin and the super form of prop Adam Blair has pushed Bennett to name the Queensland back rower on the interchange list, a spot he was so effective in earlier this season.

Doddsy is back. Hopefully if he doesn't play with us he goes back to QLD cup to get some match fitness.
Our bench looks so much better with Thaiday on it for experience.

Wynnum have the bye.

Realistically, Bellamy would be stupid to play Slater, he has even said himself that Origin 2 could be his last game this season. Better to rest him for later in the season.

I hope Bennett doesn't rest anyone. He can rest them for the Knights game.

I hope he plays a full strength side and I hope we fucking annihilate them to improve our for & against. We have a good opportunity for a win here. Cronk is out and Slater is just one more bad knock to the shoulder away from being out for the rest of the season. We should really take it to them with a full strength side.

I reckon Thaiday might play, and if not, Dodds will be ahead of Molo if fit.

I think Thaiday will play.

It's a huge game in the context of the season. If we win we have a six point lead over whoever finishes the round in fourth. It also means that if we beat Newcastle in rd 16, we'll finish the rep season on 28 points (bye in rd 17).

If you assume that you need 36 points to get into the top 4 and prob 40 to win the minor premiership then Brisbane only need to win 4 of their remaining 9 games (rds 18 - 20) to make the top 4 and 6 of 9 to win the mp.

Bennett will know this and he'll be keen to make sure we win.

Sorry the brackets in my previous post should have read (18 - 26).

I reckon Hodges will play and Bennett will let him if fit. He's one of the few who's suffered through the years of defeats, been on the end of all the thrashings, and had his season ended in '07, '08 and '09 at their hands. He'll take this one personally and want to make a statement that this is the year of the Bronco.

It was funny seeing Quinn denied 3 times. The look on his face after the 3rd time was priceless.

Well I dont think we will have Hodges for this game. Im pretty sure he will be cited
