POST GAME Round 15 - Storm vs Broncos

Well let me quote the enemy, Gus Gould, and say "WOW.......WOOOOW!!!" That was freaking amazing! When the game started I got a feeling that the evening would be average and a lot of the time it certainly seemed that way. Dropout after dropout was gut wrenching but I will say the last 4 or 5 went to the 50 or over! Some practice there!!

The refs certainly seemed to give the Storm some benefit today, that elbow to Hunt's forehead and then penalising him for "putting in the extra effort" had my eyes bulging...

Oates was a warrior taking the ball forward inside our 10, he got 12m+ every time it seemed!

I also think the surface was very slippery tonight which limited Millford's contribution. He's great at getting half breaks and passing but tonight he had to run very direct which limited that part of his game. Would love to see a replay of that 2nd out on the full call, that looked marginal.

Man, sucks to Melbourne tonight. That has to be as close to perfect a team can play and not win. We had no right to win this game according to stats. What an incredible defensive display.

I was very surprised with the quality of melbournes spine tonight. Cronk or not, it was a very respectable victory.

On the Storm, Blake Green has certainly been a great signing for them. But they really miss Cronk. Hampton seems like a numpty.

Just had a look at the press conference. That's about as animated as Wayne gets. Probably the only thing he wasn't happy with was fifth tackle options.

Sam said he had a great one-liner about our attack but Wayne wouldn't let him use it.

nrlstats stats aren't final yet, they'll be updated again tomorrow or something. We can check then.

Only a 5 day turnaround, albeit against the Knights. Let's hope they have the energy to back it up on Friday with another win as it would be a pity to drop a game against the Knights after such a great win.

Just incredible stats. Oates is asking serious questions of Glenns starting spot

I think he should actually stay on the wing for now.

I would like it if he was given the ball on kick returns more often. He is such a powerful runner, he could get our sets off to a good start.

Forget Vidot, just use Oates.

I think if the Storm had Billy then this game was theirs. That amount of grubbers to the in goal area and surely he picks up 1 or 2 tries. not sure why Munster wasn't in the frame more often.

The last team that concerns me is Newcastle. They're horrid and probably the worst team in the comp currently.

And if we had Hodges he probably sets up a try too, so we're even.

Double Post - FYI the press conference is generally uploaded an hour or so after full-time on NRL.com.

Just put the cursor over video, click Latest Videos and you're there.
