POST GAME Round 15 - Storm vs Broncos

I'm all in on Oates, he has to be starting every week imo, make him a permanent winger for the rest of this season and then transition him into the second row either next year or the year after, he's too good to have on the bench.

Bennett makes a good point in why he rested Parker and Hodges and the sort of effect it could have had in the circumstances, we already had 4 players backing up from SOO, another 2 could have been the difference from a defensive fitness perspective.

The superlatives posted so far are so well justified. The best defensive game I have seen in memory.

I still think Hunt's kicking game is too hot and cold. Today it was ordinary. Milford's superb kick for Oates is what it's all about.

After today, I just cannot see how Oates cannot be our starting winger.

Today we have clearly established our premiership credentials against a very very good side who played extremely well.

Broncos needs to get some funds together and sign Corey Oates for life. The kids got it. Runs hard and tackles hard. Always finds the try line too. Get him into that origin emerging squad next year and then debut him in 2017 if not 2016

We only re-signed him recently, didn't we?

Blair is proving a shrewd investment for the Broncos. His hit-up counts will never break records but he gets the dirty work done. He constantly harasses with kick pressure, passes well in traffic and gives Brisbane some presence in the midfield.
and I was thinking the same thing watching the game. He does a lot of stuff that won't go into the stats but is vital to the team effort.

Yeah Blair played well today, he's never going to have those massive 150m+ games, but he's consistently doing the hard yards in defence and sets up a lot of our sweeping plays with his sneaky offloads before the line.

He just has to do this every game which he hasn't been. He was great tonight.

True though I think his been improving for a while now so there's encouraging signs there.

I'm sold on Parcell, hadn't seen enough of him to make a call but he really seems to have the perfect balance to come off the bench.

I still prefer Kodi at this stage but I'm certainly not complaining

The tackle by Parcell at the end was the play of the match. Melbourne were going to score for all money. Brilliant work by the young kid.

Terrific defensive effort all round. The stats are simply unbelievable.
