Hard to predict how this one could go.

Brisbane will be too strong back at home, cant see them losing.

If most of the rested players come back then the Broncos will have the advantage. Round 4 was even until late into the second half. Turning point was Ben Hannant stopping Adam Reynolds. I still have to wait until after the Parra game to see which players get through ok.

You'll be without S Burgess, King, Asotasi. Anyone else i forgot?

He was good defensively until injury.

We need to win this one. Hopefully Thaiday is fit.

As I see this game, it will be a team with a suspect defence versus a team with a suspect attack. The question then becomes who best exploits the opposition's weaknesses and as a result, outscores the other.

A major problem we will have is Inglis, or rather, Inglis at FB, Inglis at second receiver, Inglis running as a back rower on the edges - the same problem I imagine NSW will have, or ought to have, in Origin 3

I thought we didn't do too bad a job of containing Inglis last time, after those initial 20 minutes from hell, that is! :shake:

Yep pretty sure all three will be out for it unless they heal really well but I doubt they will run the risk.

After that first 20 mins of rush. The Broncos were able to put us into the grind and we lost a far bit of the plot after that.

You are quite right. We did.

However, from the games I have seen Souths play, their "spine" is improving at a rate of knots. Luke is so dangerous at dummy half, Reynolds is really turning into a very good 7 (& a bloody good goal kicker), Sutton is doing lots of good things, and Inglis, well, I reckon he's improved 300% on his last performance against us. In fact, I would go so far as saying Souths are as dangerous an attacking side as there is at the moment - and they are improving as their combinations gel.

The only way to contain Inglis is when he plays in the centres and gets little ball and no room - as was the case in Origin 2.

Fortunately, Souths defence is suspect. Hopefully, we will exploit that to the max and get a win

Big, big game for us, a must win if we want to be really be competitive for the top 4. After this we play the Sharks (H) minus our origin players then the bye then Warriors (H). The draw gets a little kinder for the next 3 Tits (A) Parra (H) and CANB (A). Before Dogs, Storm and Manly then the Panthers last

IF we drop this game we could well be equal 4th -8th ,(depending on for and against and upsets),coming into the "easier run".

The top 8 looks to be reasonably clear even at this stage with the Warriors the only side likely to make a run at the semis. With so many teams being beaten consistently it makes the 8 very congested as well. Assuming we win 4 games plus the bye that puts us on 30 pts and in the 8 somewhere, 32 points puts just in or just out of the top 4 and 34 points puts us in the 4.

The key to beating Souths is containing their rallies and exposing them when they're vulnerable.

We can win the forward game and expose them on the fringe.

Souths fans logic(not having go at Twiztid) the reason why Broncos wont win because they haven't beaten a top 8 side yet:haha:

That logic would be wrong too.

I will be extremely disappointed if we manage to lose this Friday night.

Just dissed their own team, awkwarrrd!

Looks like Thaiday and maybe Parker will both be back for Souffs

I really want to know which fans you guys talk to?

Well if that is the case they need to look at some of the Souths wins. We may have beating a few top 8 teams in Sharks, Tigers and Bulldogs. When we played them and had those wins, those teams hadn't fully found their straps, debate could be made on the Sharks having a few game winning streak.

Looking at the Broncos draw you guys do have a better run at the start of the year with the draw compared to the end. However at the start of the year you don't know how teams are going to travel. As we are now halfway through we have an idea of what the final 8 could be and that isn't the fault of the Broncos.

You can only really compare this match with the last match. Broncos grind won them the last match and with a few chances Souths failed to capitalise. I think this match will very much mirror that one but hopefully we do capitalise this time.
