POST GAME Round 16 - Raiders vs Broncos

Even the way he used Oates for the first try has never been done before by the broncos. Oates is a weapon and should be used more like that.

Oates coming infield allowed him to free his right arm carry . Out wide on the left he is jammed from the inside . Yesterday he broke his fall with the left reached out with the right . Can`t do that in the corner .

I noticed we used Oates a bit more infield on a number of occasions, running a bit more like a Second Rower or Centre. He's such a massive dude, I don't know why we don't do this more. Dude is 6'5, 115kgs and is deceptively fast - one of the fastest guys at the club.

I missed the game what did Wighton do?

Derped it up......

Most memorable was him dropping the ball cold inside his own 10m. Pretty sure it killed any hope of a Raiders last ditch victory.

Thought it for some time, Wighton is massively over rated......

I enjoyed Ricky Stuart's stupid face in the post game presser

how good was that ...

anyone who hasn't seen it yet, needs to drop what they are doing and watch it right now... Sticky is on the verge of tears the whole time

Awesome to get the win when you are half expecting it to be a tough loss. A few really stood up. On Mead's chase- Don't understand why he didn't attempt an ankle tap when he got pushed off the first time. He wasn't going to catch him for a tackle but a last ditch ankle tap attempt could have worked. Anyways, alls well that ends well I guess.

Was going to make the same point I feel we used him more like a second rower last night and it really seemed effective. Hopefully more of it to come!

Best the forwards have played as a collective whole all year. Some great performances. Great coaching by Ben Walker to turn Hunt's form around and Hunt for responding.

The work all week was on how the Raiders slide before the ball has gone past them or shoot out. I think every try was scored from one of those lapse in defence.

Great balls and great forward running.

Missed a tackle that led to a try and wasn't able to stop another on the line.

I stand corrected. This is what happens when u watch the game with the baby in the room distracting you.

Drop him for Sims and start Thaiday to give him one last shot? Elsewise maybe Thaiday gets offered the Parker retirement plan next year and keep the young forwards?

This based off NRL.com stats

Ofahengaue 13 runs for 131 metres

Pangai Junior 11 runs for 122 metres

Ese'ese 12 runs for 135 metres

Great stuff from our young forwards.

Glenn actually beat all of them ...

He made 15 runs for 145m

Heck of a win last night. I didn't give us a chance TBH. Benji is playing some good football and it was great to see Benny Hunt back playing some solid footy too.

More like 105kg !

Interesting the remark about Ben Walker. Do you think this is something Hunt would benefit from more if it was regular? Same applies to Milf and Niko?
