POST GAME [Round 17, 2022] Broncos vs Dragons

I liked what I saw from Gamble in that roaming lock forward role.

I think we should be using him like that for the rest of the season. It allows us to keep Ezra at half and allows us to keep Gamble in the side who brings that energy and mongrel.
100% mate and it also means Gamble is in the side ready to cover for an injury in the halves. It's really a no brainer for mine.

I've been very critical of him in the past. But he's been an absolute gun this year. I'm actually sad to see him go next season. Actually think he's been better than some others, but he seems to fallen out of favor for whatever reason. Oh well.
Yeah I've always wondered what the go is with some players. Someone like Kennedy is definitely good enough to be in someone's 17 but he couldn't find a deal in the NRL for next year. I thought he's been very good every game he's played this year but just doesn't get picked.

Then you have guys like Harper who are absolute duds but get picked time and time again. Makes you think if it might be a personality thing rather than a form thing, or if there's something the coaching staff see that they don't like that we're missing.

That would be a little hypocritical of Lazzo who left Brisbane to be the Storm's inaugural captain. Not to mention him being headhunted by former Broncos teammate Chris Johns. Or Gilly, who left to the Panthers. You can spot them in the background here:

Gilly didnt want to leave, he was forced out due to salary cap pressures and to be fair to Lazzo, he has always associated himself and supported the Broncos post playing...much more than say the likes of Sailor and now Tallis

I heard the US NFL had scouts at Suncorp yesterday to watch the Aussie quarter back Tyson Gamble .
I think they would have been impressed with his passing . LOL .

He did run with the ball more though . Thought for some time Tyson taking a few more runs would pay off later in games as he wouldn1t be as predictable .

That ONE dreadful forward pass was exactly that, but it doesn't change the point :)

Maybe he fancied a move to the UK. He's finished his Masters now.

Yeah I like Keenan but he is better off playing bigger minutes for Wynumn than 10 for us. Tyson could play that role and give Carrigan or whoever a spell. For 10-20

Easier to make metres late in the game than from kick off .
RK was outstanding yesterday . But so was Ryan James . Both did jobs for their team .
Mmmmm, outstanding? James, outstanding?

This is an absolutely ridiculous claim! A starting front rower making a dreadful 74 metres in 40 minutes?
RK was pretty good all right but he played exactly as he has done all year. RK would shit all over James whether he started or was off the bench.

James's extremely average performance draws 'outstanding' from you yet in reality, with your bar set so low you think 74 pissy metres and pillow tackles makes for stellar stats. James was adequate and certainly not anything more than bog average.

Oh FFS mate .
James got sets on a roll . Fast play the balls . And defended like a champ . That was outstanding .
RK made ground late in the game when the ruck was looser . Also an offload and a steal . Very good for his minutes .
James paved the way for RK to shine late . And again Kevvie wrapped him in the press conference . Why do you think he keeps doing that . Ryan has compromising photos of Kev ?

It was an absolute crack up to watch though, I love Tyson, he brings a very unique x factor that for whatever reason, makes those around him better.
A 'very unique' x factor.

A very 'one of a kind' x factor.

Lucky it's not just a little bit 'one of a kind' and it's a lot of 'one of a kind'. Such a dumb choice of words.

If RK was half the player you rate him as Huge .
He would be a starter every week and off to another club in the NRL not Super League .

People who know better don`t regard him as highly as you do .
