Yeah I'm keen to watch the press conference now 😂 he looked filthy at Walker.

Formerly Broncospwn
Do you really think he will throw him under the bus?

How pathetic from Walker there. Arrogant little fucker

I don't think he will blast him publicly but he's usually a straight shooter so he might say something about it.

That ending was WEAK.

Walker 10 runs (35m gained)

Had he already run 115m? Or don't the stats cover runs that actually lost ground?

they may just be playing down to the level of their opposition ... but damn the Roosters have been poor tonight. they would have been beaten by 20 against a top 4 side IMO
because they were playing at the dewiest slipperiest ground in the country... and it started pissing down rain halfway through the second half.

If the game was dry roosters probably slaughter them... happy that they won and kept the dogs anchored to the bottom of the ladder though 👍👍

Bastard Doggies are going to steal our spoon.

No. I've said it since the six again rule was introduced, the refs would've been absolutely blasted if they called penalties for what they're happy to wave off as six agains. Because it doesn't interrupt the flow of play the media is happy to keep schtum about it.
Except one of the reasons to bring the 6 agains in was to give the refs some room to call more penalties on crap in the ruck.

People were initially anticipating that refs would finally be able to call all the bullshit in the ruck without there being 30 penalties and creating a sharks vs storm 2018 all over again... instead they've been weak with calling 6 agains and even worse tactics have crept into the game (blatant offsides and penalties in the opposition half for zero negatives).

The Broncos people were right I reckon, Sam walker would make a much better career if he transitioned to fullback I think. Name 1 strength he loses from that position, bcos I could name a few weaknesses that would disappear if he wasn't in the halves.

On another note, I'd love joseph manu at fullback for the Broncos. Just classy, and things happen around him. Glad we didn't give liu a 3 year contract though, he looks like a good player in a great team but he's definetly in his twighlight years
Don't get me wrong I would have preferred 2 years personally, but what makes you say that? Granted I didn't watch the game because I expected it to be dead boring, but looking at his stats, for a prop/lock that usually plays 40-60 mins, having only 1 ineffective tackle (0 misses) out of 41 in 80 mins out of position at second row doesn't shout twilight years. Proctor's best game barely compares. Probably just Proctors replacement in terms of experience tbh which I'm content with, doubt he's on much.

If you noticed things I can't find in stats, happy to hear them. I've been meaning to watch him but already hit my quota in terms of uninteresting NRL games this weekend.

I wish there was a "hmmmmm kinda" emoji. Agree with your statement about the tactics, but the refs can be quite liberal with the calls sometimes, and other times not

We wouldn't have the 6-agains if the NRl didn't crumble to agendas. The refs were finally penalising things that were, shock horror, against the rules and worthy of penalising. And predictably, the teams that had previously been gaming the refs by constantly pushing the envelope were being punished. But instead of holding their nerve, they crumbled at the media pressure.

The NRL always take the weak, lazy option. Whether it's bowing to media pressure on things they should follow through on, or it's making up newer, dumber rules in order to counter the effect of previously dumb rule changes, it really is pathetic. I thought the Independent Commission was supposed to remove bias and agendas and have the balls to actually do what is best for the game, but it didn't take long for the usual powerbrokers to get in there and infect it.
