Happy? And I'm the one with whiner under my name... :P
I suddenly feel a lot happier inside :P

Maxwell had a terrible game as ref but apart from that we played alright.

It was good to see the boys step up and try to get back into the game after it was all Parra after they levelled.

Watched the game at the pub and now just watching the replay at home, geez that was bloody awesome work from gillett to score the watch winner. All in all I am pretty happy with the result, at times it looked like the eels had us on the ropes, but our defensive line seemed to just scramble and re-group really well, awesome result to come out of the origin period with the bye next week and make a real charge to the finals.

Oh and how could I forget, Kenny is absolute shit, please never play first grade again.
He makes metres for the other team more than he does for us.

Carl Webb may have got the least metres but he made 66 off 7 runs while Kenny made 67 metres off 10 runs.

You know your career is fucked when someone compares you to Carl Webb.

Random thought...Gillett's try sorta reminded me of Carlaw's Origin try in 2002 to tie the third game.

Ironically Carlaw fended off a Parramatta player that game too!

Gillett didn't need to fend. McGuire just kneeled in front of the god! :P

No shit Sherlock Holmes
But the question still remains, when was the last time a Broncos winger made over 200 meters in a game.

FFS, Gagai doesn't need this crap from his stalker.

He did really well and has a bright future ahead of him, but until he does it regularly like Hoffman (who topples the 200 mtrs regularly btw), he won't be more than a promise.

Hoffman was always threatening to bust the line and nearly did on a few occasions, might not have been his best game but he is always solid down the back.

Dodds needs to run the ball more often. Just looking at NRL.com, he made 28m. COME ON! You've got to be more than a tackling bag. Even Kenny's ineffective runs got us further upfield.

I suspect Reed is a bit fatigued. Hopefully the bye will refresh him.

Wallace was disappointing. He's been up to the task so far this season so I hope this is a one off.

Happy to say Gagai has improved especially in attack and his confidence is growing. Still needs lots of work under the cross field bomb. Will be close to cementing a full time wing spot next season IMO. We have some gun backs at the club and we will have some great competition for spots. Epic recruitment from the Broncos.

We are a vastly different side to the Henjak coached one of last year. The change in attitude and application from our young players is enourmous, they are all desperate all the time. Defensively we were magnificent last night except for two lazy moments up the middle, we really had everything pretty well covered. For a young team to turn up for 80 minutes like that is tremendous and gives me some hope for 2012, thought the Wallace/Norman combination looked promising if not stifled by our cautious game plan. Not complaining about the way we played but we kept it very simple for long periods and I guess with time and combinations we will expand the attack more.

I thought Norman got a lot more involved last night, and he had some quality touches. He's slowly getting his confidence up and i wouldn't be upset to see him start at #6 next year.

His kicking game is long too so that's an added bonus.
